Unreleased Ark Survival Ascended Dossiers
Studio Wildcard recently released the newest dinosaur they’ve created for ASA. Coming to the game as part of the Frontier Adventure Pack during the launch of Scorched Earth on April 1, the Oasisaur is a walking base. You can build on its back, have terrain to harvest, and keep other dinos. To celebrate the announcement, the creature’s Dossier was unveiled. It’s not in the game yet, but once it is, I’ll add it to the list.
How to Find Explorer Notes and Dossiers in ASA
Explorer Notes and Dossiers of knowledge are found in chests in ASA. Some are fancy, while others are simple, but they’re often denoted by ruins, such as columns or archways crafted from ancient bricks. The nice thing is you can add most of the coordinates I’ve listed above onto your map as waypoints, which will lead you directly to the chests and the Explorer Notes inside them.
However, a number of notes are found in the various caves. I’ve noted which ones these are, as the coordinates won’t lead you to the correct location, unfortunately. For these, you must head to the cave entrance and make your way through it to find them. Once inside, the coordinates will lead you to the correct place — just make sure you know which is which when putting them on your map.
What do Explorer Notes do?
When you find an Explorer Note, you not only learn something new about the Island, the creatures in the area, or a piece of technology, but you also get a 100% Experience Boost for 10 minutes. If you get another note within that time, an additional 10 minutes stacks. I strongly suggest you bring your main dino with you that you want to level, as you’ll gain nonstop experience when collecting Explorer Notes.
What Happens if You Get All Explorer Notes in Ark?
Gathering all Explorer Notes and Dossiers on The Island will give your character 10 levels. This goes past the level max, giving you further opportunities to overpower other tribes and dinosaurs. The level bonus is on top of all the EXP bonuses you get when collecting the individual notes.
Is There a Cheat for Gettomg All Explorer Notes?
If you’re struggling to gather all Explorer Notes or already achieved this feat in a previous version of the game, then you may be interested in using the command console to obtain all of them.
- Open the command console.
- Enter the command cheat GiveAllExplorerNotes.
- Close the console.
The game may freeze for a few minutes if you need many of the notes unlocked as the system processes through the request. You’ll now have all Explorer Notes unlocked and available to view in your journal. This doesn’t specify if you’ll obtain the EXP buff along with the level increase, so you may want to experiment with unlocking a specific note first if that’s what your aim is.
