Armored Core 6 System Requirement Details

We've now got a good look at system requirements for Armored Core 6. See them here.

The time is almost upon us. Armored Core 6 is looking to bring the venerable series into the modern age. As a cross-generation title, it won’t be asking that your PC come with the latest and greatest hardware. We now have (some) of the details, and you’ll need at least a somewhat modern rig if you want to hit the upper 120 FPS target. But as FromSoftware games are fantastic even at 60 frames, I imagine AC6 will be as well. Here are the Armored Core 6 system requirement details.

It’s interesting that the Armored Core 6 system requirements list Intel Arc graphics cards, as many of the other games coming out near it only list Nvidia and AMD. There’s nothing about AC6 that looks too demanding, and as more and more players get the 3000 and 4000 series of Nvidia or the 6000 and 7000 series of AMD cards in their rigs, the more developers can push their visuals.

However, FromSoftware has always been about aesthetics over raw graphical horsepower. And the ray tracing requirements are incredibly reasonable. No need for even a 3000 series Nvidia card. Funnily enough, down near he bottom of of the announcement, ray tracing will only be available in the garage, which is where we’ll be spending most of our time anyway.

I should note that ray tracing in Elden Ring didn’t improve the game’s visuals by a significant degree, serving only to degrade its performance with the ray-traced shadows turned on. Armored Core 6 is a cross-gen game, so it really can’t push too much more. The fact that a huge number of players on PC can experience the game is a huge win, not just for those new to the series but for veterans who want the best for the game.

It’s telling, as well, that Armored Core 6 could take up more space than Elden Ring. Based on what we know of the game, the levels are huge but are still just levels, not an entire open world. It might be their geometric complexity, coupled with the need for more space to hold all the mech parts at higher resolution models, that calls for the larger file size.

In any case, those are the system requirements for Armored Core 6. Even if you don’t quite hit the minimums, you can probably still play, though your performance might suffer in ways the developers can’t account for.
