Outbreak is a new zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War, which includes three new multiplayer maps and a much harder gameplay. Although the second season has brought a few good weapons to the game’s roster, the best ones are still wonder weapons.

Getting wonder weapons in Outbreak is a lot harder due to the random nature of how they spawn in the chests. That’s why our best weapons tier list guide for Outbreak mode will focus on the weapons you can get from the start, and with a few good attachments you can become a real menace to the zombie horde.

S-Tier Weapons

Hauer 77
  • Type: Shotgun
  • Magazine: 5 rounds

This shotgun has all you need to break through hordes of zombies in the Outbreak mode. It’s got power, it’s got range, and if you upgrade it, then you’ll get bigger magazine and firing rate, too.

Hauer is so effective in that it even outperforms standard assault rifles and LMGs. But you can make it much better, particularly its range, by using the following attachments:

  • Muzzle: Duckbill Choke
  • Barrel: 25.2″ Task Force
  • Body: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight
  • Magazine: STANAG 8 Rnd Tube
  • Handle: Serpent Wrap
Gallo SA12
  • Type: Shotgun
  • Magazine: 7 rounds

Unlike Hauer, which is a pump-action shotgun, Gallo is a semi-automatic shotgun, which makes its firing rate a bit faster. Also, if you upgrade it in the Pack-a-Punch machine, you will get a fully automatic H-NGM-N version of it.

The biggest difference between the two is the damage. Gallo is slightly weaker, but with a few well-chosen attachments it will turn you into a real force of nature:

  • Muzzle: Duckbill Choke
  • Barrel: 24.8″ Task Force
  • Body: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight
  • Magazine: STANAG 12 Rnd Tube
  • Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap

A-Tier Weapons

Stoner 63
  • Type: Light Machine Gun
  • Magazine: 75 rounds

Stoner is currently the best LMG in Cold War and it fits the Outbreak mode really well due to its large magazine size. You’ll really need it when zombies start swarming all around you.

This excellent weapon can be improved even further, if you can upgrade it and add a few attachments, such as:

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 5.56
  • Barrel: 21.8″ Task Force
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: Salvo 125 Rnd Fast Mag
  • Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
AK-47
  • Type: Assault Rifle
  • Magazine: 30 rounds

Many players would argue that M-16 is better than AK-47, and that would be the case in almost any other mode except Outbreak. In this case AK-47 is a clear winner due to higher damage power.

It may not have the highest range or accuracy, but its sheer brutal force is what makes a huge difference in the new zombies mode.

Here are a few attachments you can try using on AK-47:

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 7.62
  • Barrel: 20″ Liberator
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Magazine: Taped Mags
  • Handle: GRU Elastic Wrap

B-Tier Weapons

Krig 6
  • Type: Assault Rifle
  • Magazine: 30 rounds

This is a brand-new assault rifle that has been introduced in Cold War and turned out to be a real powerhouse in the zombies mode due to its high accuracy.

Krig has almost a non-existent recoil, which can be reduced to a total zero with the help of the following attachments:

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 5.56
  • Barrel: 19.7″ Takedown
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: STANAG 50 Rnd
  • Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
Fara 83
  • Type: Assault Rifle
  • Magazine: 30 rounds

The second season has introduced another innovative assault rifle with high accuracy and solid damage.

The main distinctive feature of Fara is high firing rate combined with long range, which is definitely unusual. Here are a few attachments that you can use with it:

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 5.56
  • Barrel: 18.1″ Takedown
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Magazine: Taped Mags
  • Handle: GRU Elastic Wrap
Machete
  • Type: Melee

Machete has been introduced in the second season of Cold War as an alternative to the knife, which had its moments during the first season of the game.

Machete is essential for early gameplay in the Outbreak mode, as you need to preserve as much ammo as possible. That’s where melee weapon comes in very handy and can basically insta-kill any zombie.

This new weapon can be unlocked by earning the Back Stabber medal in 15 different matches, which requires you to melee kill enemies from behind.

Those are the best weapons for the Oubreak mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War. If this article helped you, be sure to spread it around.
