Dead Island 2: How to Find All the sKOpes

Are you wondering what's up with the sKOpe units you've found all over Hell-A? Here's what you need to know about the Konstant digital assistant in Dead Island 2.

Right from the start of Dead Island 2, you can find voice-activated sKOpe computers in most of the homes in Hell-A. For most of the game, their server’s offline, so all they’re good for is making a vaguely pleasant noise. Once you’re able to fix that, here’s where you can find all 25 sKOpes in Dead Island 2.

What are sKOpe Units in Dead Island 2?

In the late-game story quest “The Search for Truth,” you’ll reboot the sKOpe network via the OSK store on Ocean Avenue. This has the useful side effect of reactivating all the sKOpes in Hell-A, which now have some specific information for you if you backtrack to check them all out.

There are a total of 25 sKOpes hidden throughout nine of DI2’s 10 maps. Twenty-three of the 25 locations are immediately accessible, or at least are by the point in the story where you can interact with them. Two more sKOpes are in houses that are locked down unless you complete a couple of related side quests.

Talking to a sKOpe gives you an exclusive journal entry for your Collectibles menu, including all 17 entries in “Word of the Day.” This lets you complete another couple of journal collections for the Well Read Exploration Challenge, although by this point in Dead Island 2, you’ve likely got the 50 journals you need for the Bookworm achievement/trophy.

More importantly, some of the most plot-critical journals in the game are kept on the sKOpes, including most of the entries that are kept under “The Truth” section in your collectibles menu. If you’re looking for more lore about the outbreak that killed Dead Island 2’s Los Angeles, you want to talk to the sKOpes.
