Disney Dreamlight Valley: Staking Your Territory Quest Walkthrough

Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Pride of the Valley update has brought Nala to the valley, and new friendship quests with her. You’ve probably already started playing the update, and like us, are working your way through the new and exciting content. Nala’s level 2 friendship quest Staking Your Territory has some interesting requests, and you’ll find all of the answers here.

How to Complete Staking Your Territory

As we mentioned above, this is Nala’s friendship level 2 quest. To get her to level 2, talk to her and gift her items. Flowers are an easy and quick gift to reach that level 2 friendship.

Staking Your Territory requires Dazzle Beach (1,000 Dreamlight). The quest requires some back and forth with Nala, so it’d be easiest to ask her to hangout for the duration of the quest.

• Once you’ve reached friendship level 2, speak to Nala to obtain the quest.

• You are now asked to place Scar’s Lounging Rock on Dazzle Beach, and 7 Landscaping furniture items on Dazzle Beach.

• When you go into your furniture menu, you’ll see Nala’s face at the top. You can click on those icons to be taken to Scar’s Rock and the Landscaping furniture to place on Dazzle Beach. Landscaping furniture consists of trees, shrubs, rocks, and plants. We went with some Sunlit Plateau foliage to make Nala feel more at home.

• Once you’ve placed all items, return to Nala. If you can’t find her, head to your map and select her icon and a Dreamlight trail will lead the way.

• Talk to Nala and she’ll tell you that she wants to teach you how to pounce like her, but you need to get dressed for the occasion first, and protect yourself from the Beach sun.

• You’ll need to put on 2 Rustic clothing items, head to your wardrobe inventory and select Nala’s icon to be taken to your options.

• You’ll also need to wear some whiskers, which in our case, is a mustache! Click the other Nala icon in the Wardrobe menu to be taken to the mustaches, or head down to your Facial Hair category. 

• You’re now officially dressed for the occasion and can head to Dazzle Beach to meet Nala. We found her near the Beach cave entrance.

• She’ll tell you she needs prey to pounce, but you assure her there are only friends in the Valley, and she’ll have to settle for fish. Problem is, like most cats, she doesn’t like the water so you’ll have to fish for her.

• Catch 3 Common or Uncommon fish (white fishing spots), and 3 Rare or Unique Fish (red or blue fishing spots) from any body of water.

• Return and talk to Nala, and you’ll tell her that humans like to cook fish before eating them.

• You’ll need to prepare any fish meal for Nala next. We opted for Grilled Fish, because, well, it only requires fish.

• Return to Nala and give her your prepared fish recipe.

• You’ve now completed Nala’s friendship level 2 quest, Staking Your Territory!
