Does Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Have Crossplay?

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set in ancient China, dropping players into the boots of a soldier in a fight against an enormous army of demons. There’s quite a bit of challenge to be had in this Team Ninja title, but you can summon friends to help you out if you get stuck. But the question is, does Wo Long have crossplay?

Is Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Crossplatform?

The answer here is “kind of.” Technically, yes, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has crossplatform play, but probably not in the way anyone expects when they hear that phrase.

According to Team Ninja’s official FAQ for the game, Wo Long only supports crossplay between the same family of consoles. That means that players on PlayStation 4 can play with players on PlayStation 5, and players on Xbox One can play with folks on Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, nobody but PC players can play with other folks on PC. If you’re an Xbox player looking to play with your friend on PlayStation, you’re sadly out of luck.

Team Ninja has not explained why they made this decision, but it’s always possible that crossplay will be added to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty in a future update. For more on the game, check out our Wo Long guides hub.
