Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 brings a bundle of new quest content to complete and with it, new features to discover. The Kickstart quests will help you learn the landscape. Here’s how to complete the Search a Weapon Case quest to earn XP in Fortnite.

How to Complete the Search a Weapon Case Kickstart Quest in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1

Chapter 5 Season 1 has plenty of new POIs to discover. Kickstart quests earn you XP and encourage you to explore the Island’s new features. To complete this specific mission, you’ll need to find Weapon Cases — and they aren’t just in one spot.

• The Weapon Cases can be found at the spray-painted locations throughout the Island. To search one, you’ll need to follow the spray paint directions and interact with the red case of weapons. Then, the objective will be complete.

The Weapon Cases contain rare weapons, so it’s an easy way to get some quality loot from the get-go. I also find multiple treasure chests at each location, so it’s safe to say they’re one of the best landing spots this Season.

Where to Find All Weapon Case Locations in Fortnite

Weapon cases can be found near POIs but are hidden in nearby spray-painted areas. So while they’re a bit out of the way, they’re worth your while. The hidden lairs might be underground, in a house, or in a train tunnel. Unlike Big Boss vaults, you’ll simply need to find the entrance to access the goodies. All Weapon Cases are marked by spray paint in the world and on the main Island map. You’ll want to follow the spray-painted arrows to find the entrance to the hidden lair.

More often than not, the cases are at the end of the trail behind a door. However, sometimes you’ll have to break a spray-painted barrier like I did in the lair at Ruined Reels. When in doubt, follow the graffiti. I’ve marked all of the weapon case locations in Chapter 5 Season 1 for your convenience above. Just get to the areas, follow the markings, and you’ll find loot and XP! Here are all Weapon Case locations detailed:

• Northwest of Snooty Steppes.
• Southeast of Pleasant Piazza.
• North side of Ruined Reels.
• Southeast side of Ritzy Riviera.
• Middle of Rebel’s Roost.
• North side of Reckless Railways.
• Northwest side of Hazy Hillside.
• East of Classy Courts.

What Weapons Can You Find in Weapon Cases?

While it’s great to hear there’s quality loot there, I’m sure you’re wondering exactly what weapons you can come across. All Weapon Cases will contain a weapon of at least Rare quality. I’ve come across the Iron Warrior Hammer Pump Shotgun at the Ruined Reels and the Eagle Eye Reaper Sniper Rifle at the Hazy Hillside Case. It’s one of the best guns in the game right now. Here are weapons you can find in the cases.

• Cover Fire Hyper SMG
• Iron Warrior Hammer Pump Shotgun
• Iron Warrior Sniper Rifle
• All Around Nemesis AR
• Ambush Ranger Pistols
• Eagle Eye Reaper Sniper Rifle

These are just examples of the guns I’ve come across in various locations. However, each location is guaranteed to offer a variety of weapons. So, you won’t find two snipers in one case. This makes them an ideal landing spot because you can fill your inventory with an assortment of weapons quickly.
