Unlocking new characters in Genshin Impact is great, but something just as satisfying is leveling up their talents. The Admonition Book group of character talent materials is utilized by a handful of Sumeru characters, including the Traveler when they’re resonating with the Dendro element. This is how to find and use Guide to Admonition in Genshin Impact.
Which Characters Use Guide to Admonition?
Currently, there are five characters that require the Guide to Admonition material when leveling their talents. Those characters are as follows:
- Candace
- Cyno
- Faruzan
- Tighnari
- Traveler (Dendro)
It’s in your best interest to level their talents up if you actively use any of these characters. Even if you’re a F2P player, the Guide to Admonition material will be helpful for Traveler (Dendro) and the free Faruzan that will be available in the upcoming 3.6 update.
How to Find Guide to Admonition in Genshin Impact

This talent material can only be acquired as a Domain reward or by being crafted, although that also ends up looping back to the same domain. Let’s go over earning it as a reward first.
The Guide to Admonition is awarded at the Steeple of Ignorance Domain. This domain can be found on the West side of the Lokapala Jungle area and more specifically near the Chatrakam Cave subarea.

Different sets of levels are offered at the domain depending on the day. To unlock any of the materials from the Admonition Book group, you’ll need to challenge the Domain of Mastery: Full Moon set which runs on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
An Adventure Rank of 27 is needed to access the initial level of the domain, but the first level is also the only one to not offer the material we’re looking for. You’ll need to have at least an Adventure Rank of 28 to play a level that can reward you with the Guide to Admonition.

Treat it like any other domain and make sure you’re properly leveled for it. It’s recommended to use the Dendro, Electro, Pyro, and Hydro elements and there’s a Ley Line Disorder that will increase damage for different Elemental DMG, so it would be a good idea to bring a diverse party.
If you’re a F2P player, the following team can serve you well:
- Traveler (Dendro)
- Lisa
- Xiangling
- Barbara
How to Craft Guide to Admonition in Genshin Impact

As mentioned earlier, the other method to acquire this material is through crafting. The recipe to craft Guide to Admonition is three Teachings of Admonition.
As you might assume from the name, this is a related material and it’s also offered from the same domain challenges. You’ll be able to earn them at the same time and use your leftover Teachings of Admonition to craft the higher Guide to Admonition, but at the end of the day, you’ll simply have to grind out this domain a little bit to earn more regardless.
How to Use Guide to Admonition

Using this material is the easiest part. All you have to do is go into the Character Screen, switch to the one that requires the materials, and click on their Talent tab. Choose the talent you want to improve and you’ll be able to confirm that you want to use the materials to level them up.
