GTA 5 Online: Can You Drop Money?

In the older versions of Grand Theft Auto players had the option to drop money for others to pick up. But later the developer removed this option, and many players ask the question if they can drop money in GTA Online.

Can You Drop Money in GTA Online?

Although GTA Online players automatically drop a fraction of their cash when dead, there is no actual way to drop money for other players to pick up while staying alive in the game. But fortunately, there is a way to share some of this cash under certain conditions in GTA Online.

This condition involves players to complete any job with a cash reward, be it a heist job, or an ordinary robbery, it really doesn’t matter. What matters is that you can share the money with other players only once you’ve finished a job.

If you’ve done it and received a message that money has been added to your account, then you need to do the following in order to share you earnings with other players:

1. Go to the “Interaction” menu in the game.
2. Go to your “Inventory” tab.
3. Select “Cash” option.
4. Select “Share Cash from Last Job” feature.

In this new menu you can distribute the percentage of the earned money from the last job between all the players that are currently playing in your lobby.

Note that this is the only legit way to give money to other players. You can through mods, but it is not recommended to take that route since as it can have unpredictable consequences for your game account.
