The elusive Yeti is loose in Los Santos once again, and slaying him will get you an exclusive costume. However, it can’t just be found in the wild. In this guide, I’ll go over how to find the Yeti and how to get the Yeti Outfit in GTA 5 Online.
Where to Find the Yeti in GTA 5 Online to Get the Yeti Outfit
The Yeti can only be found in one area of the GTA Online map, and he’s not just going to be there, as you might suspect. You’ll have to find clues before the beast will show its face. This is one of the Christmas event objectives that you can do on your own, and it ends in getting the Yeti Outfit.
To get started with the Yeti hunt, head to the area marked in the below map, between the two parachute locations southwest of Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness (if you cross the river into Raton Canyon, you’ve gone too far). Regardless of the time of day you come by, the white mission circle will appear. You’ll need to find five clues before you can get him to show up.
Where to Find the Yeti Clues Locations in GTA 5 Online
The Yeti has clearly been busy up in these hills! The scenes you find the clues at are pretty gruesome, and it plays ominous music as you approach them. All but one are just a bit off the road, so you can hear the music if you drive by with your car’s radio off. The one you can’t hear by driving by is down by the river. You can grab these clues in any order, they’re just numbered here for clarification’s sake.
Clue Location #1: Bloodied Tent
The first clue when you drive into the area from the highway is a blood tent found just up a hill.
Clue Location #2: Torn Shirt
The next is a torn and bloody shirt found by a junked car next to the road.
Clue Location #3: Body Parts
The next Yeti hunt clue is once again found near the road, this time a few human body parts scattered by a fallen tree.
Clue Location #4: Car Wreck
The next clue you’re looking for is a car wreck, once again indicated by an ominous, droning background track.
Clue Location #5: Deer
Last but not least is a dead deer by the river. You’ll probably have to get out of your car for this one.
How to Get the GTA 5 Online Yeti to Spawn
Now that you have all the clues, the Yeti is out for you and will attack you if you’re in the area outside of your car during the nighttime. Just wait for it to get dark and head back to the area and get out of your car. You’ll get a notification stating that “The Yeti from the Chiliad wilderness has come for you. Defeat it to earn a unique reward.” From that point, a red skull icon will be making its way straight to you.
I found the Yeti to be very durable. He took about 10 shots from my Railgun straight to the face. I thought it would be enough to one-shot him, but the Yeti is apparently more durable than a fleet of ‘copters. Once he’s downed, you’ll immediately get a notification about the Yeti Outfit. You’ll be able to find the Yeti Outfit in your wardrobe, under the Festive category.
