Farming on Hay Day requires a long day in order to plant and harvest all the crops you can grow. Being a virtual farmer requires patience and knowledge to grow all the available crops successfully for a profit.

Hay Day farmers can plant 21 different crops on their land. Each is worth a certain amount of coins when sold at the market and takes a specific amount of time to grow to maturity. Generally, each crop requires a previously harvested crop of the same type to plant in the ground.

Hay Day crops are also used in different products you make on the farm and farmers receive a certain number of experience points for growing and harvesting each type of crop.

Below we talk about each of the 21 different crops Hay Day farmers can grow on their farms.

Wheat
  • Hay Day farmers can start growing and harvesting wheat at level 1
  • Takes two minutes of game time to grow to maturity
  • Great for farming experience points
  • 1 experience point awarded per harvest
Corn
  • Hay Day corn is a crop farmers can grow at level 2
  • Takes 5 minutes of game time to reach maturity
  • Used in the production of 8 items
  • 1 experience point awarded
Carrots
  • Carrots can be grown starting at level 9
  • Takes 10 minutes of game time to grow to maturity
  • Hay Day farmers gain 2 experience points per harvest
  • Used to produce 7 different items
  • Sold for 1-7 coins in market
Soybean
  • Hay Day farmers can starting growing soybean at level 5
  • Takes 20 minutes to grow to maturity
  • Receive 2 experience points per harvest
  • Farmers receive 3 soybean at start of level 5
  • Used to produce 4 different items
Sugarcane
  • Hay Day farmers can begin farming sugarcane at level 7
  • Takes 30 minutes to grow to maturity
  • Used in the production of 3 items
  • Receive 3 experience points per harvest
Indigo
  • Begin farming indigo at level 13
  • Takes 2 hours to grow to maturity
  • Hay Day farmers receive 5 experience points per harvest
  • Sold for 1-25 coins in market
  • Can be used to make two different items
Pumpkin
  • Hay Day farmers can begin growing pumpkin at level 15
  • Takes 3 hours to grow to maturity
  • Gain 6 experience points per harvest
  • Can produce 2 items using pumpkin
Chili Pepper
  • Hay Day farmers can start growing at level 25
  • Takes 4 hours to grow to maturity
  • Receive 7 experience per harvest
  • Used in production of 6 items
Tomatoes
  • Hay Day can begin growing at level 30
  • Takes 6 hours to grow to maturity
  • Receive 8 experience points per harvest
  • Used in production of 7 items
Strawberries
  • Begin growing at level 34
  • Takes 8 hours to grow to maturity

Apples
  • Hay Day apples are harvested from apple trees on your farm
  • Unlocked at level 15
  • Each apple tree costs 160 coins and can be harvested three times

  • Each raspberry bush costs 220 coins and can be harvested 4 times
