Stardew Valley: How to Complete All Fishing Bundles for the Fish Tank

Before you tackle this challenge, you need to unlock the Fish Tank. All this means is one bundle needs to be completed elsewhere before it’s available. Additionally, the Specialty Fish Bundle can’t be done without finishing the Vault room first. The only exception to this would be if you find a Sandfish at the traveling merchant, which is otherwise only found in the desert. Aside from that, you’re ready to start gathering fish.

River Fish Bundle

If you’re playing on the Riverlands, Hill-top, or Forest Farm maps, then you can find every fish needed for this bundle on your farm. If not, then you need to visit rivers elsewhere in the valley. As a reward for this bundle, you receive x30 Deluxe Bait. Here’s each fish you need and information about when to grab them.

  • Catfish: Caught during Spring and Fall when it’s raining from 6 АМ to 12 АМ.
  • Shad: Caught during Spring, Summer, and Fall when it’s raining from 9 АМ to 2 AM.
  • Sunfish: Caught during Spring and Summer when the weather is clear from 6 AM to 7 PM.
  • Tiger Trout: Caught during Fall and Winter in any weather from 6 AM to 7 PM.

Lake Fish Bundle

For Lake fish, you either need to be playing on the Wilderness Farm map or head to the Mountain Lake. As a reward for completing the bundle, you receive a Dressed Spinner. This might help with other bundles because it increases the bite-rate of fish when you attach it to your Fishing Pole.

  • Bullhead: Caught during any season and any weather at anytime
  • Carp: Caught during Spring, Summer, or Fall in any weather at anytime
  • Largemouth Bass: Caught during any season and any weather from 6 AM to 7 PM.
  • Sturgeon: Caught during Summer and Winter in any weather from 6 AM to 7 PM.

Ocean Fish Bundle

If you aren’t playing on the Beach Farm map, you won’t catch these fish. Head over to the Beach for Ocean fish. If you start in the Spring, you can finish this bundle in two seasons, and then you receive x5 Warp Totem: Beach. Additionally, you can work on the Crab Pot Bundle simultaneously.

  • Red Snapper: Caught during Summer and Fall when it’s raining from 6 AM to 7 PM.
  • Sardine: Caught during Spring, Fall, and Winter in any weather from 6 AM to 7 PM.
  • Tilapia: Caught during Summer and Fall in any weather from 6 AM to 2 PM.
  • Tuna: Caught during Summer and Winter in any weather from 6 AM to 7 PM.

Night Fishing Bundle

Luckily, the Night Fishing portion isn’t at night but in the afternoon and evening. You only need three fish for this one, but they’re found in different locations. As a reward, you will receive a Small Glow Ring, which is super useful in the mines.

  • Bream: Caught in rivers during any season and any weather from 6 PM to 2 AM.
  • Eel: Caught in the Ocean during Spring and Fall when it’s raining from 4 PM to 2 AM.
  • Walleye: Caught in rivers, the Mountain Lake, and Cindersap Forest Pond during the Fall when it’s raining from 12 PM to 2 AM.

Crab Pot Bundle

For this one, you only need five of the possible options to complete the bundle. Because of this, you can complete it without even using a Crab Pot, thanks to Beach Foraging and Rock Crabs in the Mines. As a reward, you receive x3 Crab Pots.

  • Clam: Caught in Ocean Crab Pots or picked up from the Beach Foraging.
  • Cockle: Caught in Ocean Crab Pots or picked up from Beach Foraging.
  • Crab: Caught in Ocean Crab Pots or dropped by Rock and Lava Crabs in the Mines.
  • Crayfish: Caught in Freshwater Crab Pots.
  • Lobster: Caught in Ocean Crab Pots.
  • Mussel: Caught in Ocean Crab Pots or picked up from Beach Foraging.
  • Oyster: Caught in Ocean Crab Pots or picked up from Beach Foraging.
  • Periwinkle: Caught in Freshwater Crab Pots.
  • Shrimp: Caught in Ocean Crab Pots.
  • Snail: Caught in Freshwater Crab Pots.

Specialty Fish Bundle

The Specialty Fish are unusual since you don’t find them in any one place. Instead, you unlock the locations where most of them are found, meaning you can’t do this bundle until you can reach each location needed. But once you complete it, you receive x5 Dish O’ the Sea meals.

  • Ghostfish: Caught in the Mines on floors 20 and 60 during any season, time, and weather. Can also drop from Ghosts
  • Pufferfish: Caught in the Ocean during the Summer when the weather is clear from 12 PM to 4 PM.
  • Sandfish: Caught in the pond in the Desert during any season from 6 AM to 8 PM.
  • Woodskip: Caught in the Secret Woods and Forest Farm map during any season at any time.

That covers how to complete every Fishing Bundle for the Fish Tank in Stardew Valley. Although it seems like a lot, and the fishing mechanic can be frustrating, it’s one of the easier bundles to complete.
