How to Get an E-11 Blaster in Fortnite

Blast 'em! Here's how to get an E-11 Blaster in Fortnite.

It wouldn’t be a Fortnite x Star Wars event without the iconic E-11 Stormtrooper Blasters. Whether you’re looking for one to complete the second batch of Star Wars quests or just want a powerful weapon, here’s where and how you can get them.

Where to Get E-11 Blasters in Fortnite

Being a special event Mythic, finding these weapons will be a bit more challenging than just opening any chest around the map. There are two main ways you can find an E-11 Blaster more easily: searching an Imperial Chest or defeating Stormtroopers. However, your first step to finding either of those is to head to an Imperial Roadblock location.

There are six Imperial Roadblock locations around the map. All of them will have Stormtroopers and Imperial Chests every match. However, they are limited, so speed will be a key factor in claiming your E-11 Blaster. Here’s where you can land to find these Roadblocks:

  • Northwest of Snooty Steppes
  • Southwest of Fencing Fields
  • Southeast of Reckless Railways
  • Southeast of Classy Courts
  • Southwest of Lavish Lair
  • North of Lavish Lair

Imperial Chests

The first way to find an E-11 Blaster at a Roadblock location is to search Imperial Chests. These chests look very different from your usual gold or blue chests. Instead, they are big blocky chests in all black, with a gold shimmer around the lid.

Each Roadblock location usually spawns one to three Imperial Chests. However, the number that spawns there can vary with each match. Most often, the chests will spawn within the white huts, but you can occasionally find them outside as well. You’ll search them just like regular chests (holding X, Square, or E on them until the loot falls out). You’ll get random healing and shield items, as well as one weapon. There is only a small chance it will drop either a Bowcaster or a Blaster, so you may not get it from the first chest you loot.

Stormtroopers

If you want a more guaranteed way of collecting a Blaster, your better (but slightly more deadly) option is to defeat some Stormtroopers. Stormtroopers are also present at every Roadblock you land at. There are usually two of them at each spot, who will attack you on sight.

If you manage to defeat the Stormtroopers and fully eliminate them, they will drop some random loot, as well as the Mythic E-11 Blaster, every time. This is even easier if you land at the Classy Courts Roadblock because Chewie will be there to help you defeat them.

How to Damage Opponents with E-11 Blaster Without Overheating

Once you have your E-11 Blaster, you can put it to good use. One of the Star Wars quests requires you to damage opponents without overheating. Although the Blaster has unlimited ammo, it will overheat if you keep firing for too long.

You can fast-fire the E-11 Blaster by holding the fire button (RT/R2 or M1). As you do so, keep a close eye on the barrel on the front of the gun. It will progressively turn more red the more you fire and the closer it gets to overheating. If the gun overheats, you cannot fire again until it cools down. To avoid overheating, you’ll want to periodically release the firing button to allow some cooldown time between. Since the Blaster is also not the most reliable when it comes to aiming, this might actually help you course-correct it a bit as well. However, your best bet is to have another gun to switch to while you wait for the gun to cool down.
