How to Get the Donation Box in Animal Crossing New Horizons

The DIY recipe for the Donation Box has to be purchased with Nook Miles. Head over to the Resident Services building, interact with the Nook Stop, and choose to Redeem Nook Miles. You’ll notice it the Nook Stop has changed a bit from before the update!

Navigate to the DIY Recipes tab and choose to redeem the Donation Box for a mere 800 Nook Miles. You’ll instantly receive the DIY recipe and can go to your workbench of choice and craft one for yourself using four Wood and four Softwood.

How to Use the Donation Box

Aside from being cute, the Donation Box does have a use: You can place it anywhere on your island for visitors to donate Bells when they visit.

How useful the Donation Box will be to you depends on how often you get visitors and whether they have deep pockets, but it’s good to have set up either way. Gifts from friends, of course, are always plenty welcome.

Be sure to set your Donation Box up somewhere it’s hard for visitors to miss to tempt them into donating. How are you enjoying the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons update? Check out our other New Horizons guides here on GameSkinny.
