Getting Chronostatic Preservation in WoW SoD starts in Thousand Needles on Kalimdor, and requires you to complete three steps. Each mob you kill requires four unique Frost spells. You either need four different Frost spells and use each one to get four stacks, or you need multiple people to use Frost spells with you. The Hunter ice trap won’t count as a stack.

The first fiery enemy you need to stack Frost spells on, the Singed Highperch Consort, to break the debuff is found at (10, 40). The debuff appearance makes it hard to miss. After hitting it with four unique Frost abilities, or the same abilities from multiple players, you pick up Partial Spell Notes. To get the Rune you need two more pieces.
