How to Earn Money in Lightyear Frontier

There are two ways for you to earn money in Lightyear Frontier:

  • You can sell your stuff to the traveling Merchant in the mornings (if you have built a Merchant Landing Dock for her).
  • You can complete daily quests via the Radio Tower that involve you preparing a specific set of items for your neighbor from a nearby planet. However, this is something that gets unlocked in the later stages of the game.

How to Build the Merchant Landing Dock in Lightyear Frontier

As you progress through the early game, you will get a prompt to build the Merchant Landing in your quest log (it will show up in the top-left corner). The materials for the Merchant Landing are as follows:

  • 10 Aluminum Rods
  • 8 Red Crystals
  • 10 Stones

We have an article that will show you how to get the Red Crystals and Aluminum Rods, and Stones are obtained everywhere around the map. You can find stones lying on the ground, or in their separate deposit. Simply approach them and get your drill out to poke it.

After you obtain the items, lay out the blueprint like you usually do for the buildings you make, but make sure you slightly isolate it from the base so that the merchant can have a clear passage.

How to Sell Stuff for the Highest Value in Lightyear Frontier

Believe it or not, prices fluctuate daily. When you press TAB, you can visit the Economics section to see the upcoming forecast of prices.

I have had the best experience selling Polyberries. There is an abundance of them to pick up in the wild. They grow fast when you plant them, too, so it’s easy money. You will probably never need more than a few thousand in your “bank account.” This is because you mostly won’t need the shop stuff that much. I used the shop to buy additional seeds to speed up the resource grind.
