How to Get the Auto Axe in Fallout 76

The Auto Axe is an improvised weapon of the wasteland. Similar to a circular saw, spinning axe blades can make any enemy easy to take down. This is how to get the Auto Axe in Fallout 76.

How to Obtain the Auto Axe in Fallout 76

To get the Auto Axe you have to craft it yourself. There’s no place to buy one already built, so you need to get the plan. There’s only two ways to get the Auto Axe plan in Fo76: purchase the plan with Stamps or buy it from the Atomic Shop.

The easiest way is to buy it with Atoms, but the Auto Axe plan isn’t always available in the Atomic Shop. Currently, there’s a bundle with the plan listed, but that’s the first time I’ve seen it in the shop in a couple of years. The bundle also costs 1,000 Atoms that you either pay for or have to gradually save from events and Season rewards. This is how I finally got my Auto Axe.

That leaves purchasing the plan with stamps. You need a total of 500 Stamps to get the plan from Giuseppe at Whitespring. Stamps are earned from Expeditions and as Season rewards. It can still take quite some time to get enough, especially if you don’t have a dedicated team to complete missions in the Pitt or Atlantic City with.

How to Craft the Auto Axe in Fallout 76

Once you have the plan learned, you can craft the Auto Axe at any Weapons Workbench. You’ll find it under Edged Melee Weapons. It requires x4 Adhesive, x4 Gear, x5 Oil, x4 Screw, and x12 Steel. It can be modded to inflict Burning, Electric, or Poison damage, as well as to increase speed. You’ll need Makeshift Warrior 5 to install any of them on the weapon.
