You don't want to run out of Stamina mid fight in Nightingale. Here's how to increase this important stat.

Best Ways to Increase Stamina in Nightingale

There are two ways to increase your max Stamina in Nightingale: by wearing items that buff the stat or eating food that temporarily improves it.

There are a variety of stats that can be strengthened depending on the armor you’re wearing. When tanning Leather, making Straps, and sewing clothes, look for the materials that provide the highest buff to Maximum Stamina, as well as Stamina Regeneration and Efficiency.

To add on to those armor buffs, the types of food you eat impact your Stamina, as well. Hovering over a consumable shows you what stats are affected by eating it. Blueberries, for example, increase your max Stamina for 300 seconds or 5 minutes.

If you’ve eaten a food and forgotten what it does, its effects are found next to the green Hunger bar at the bottom left of the screen. While in your inventory, you can hover over the image to see the buffs it gives.

How to Replenish Max Stamina in Nightingale

As you adventure, you’ll notice the max Stamina you can regen decreases. This is because you’re tired. The more fatigued you become, the less Stamina you can regain. When your Stamina bar decreases to about a third, you only have around five Stamina points to use.

The best way to regain these Stamina points is by sleeping, especially in a warm and comfortable environment. Both a short rest and a long rest restore your max Stamina. Your Rest meter also refills. If you can’t get to a bed, you can use a Restful Potion. This is Nightingale’s energy drink, restoring your Rest meter as if you napped.

How Does the Wet Condition Affect Stamina?

Getting Wet in the Realms greatly reduces your Stamina regeneration. The condition affects you when it’s raining, hailing, or you’re in water with the Wet meter over 50%.

To get rid of the Wet condition, take shelter to dry up. The process goes even faster if you stand near a warm fire. If you can’t find a place to wait out a storm, use the Umbrella to provide protection. As soon as the condition disappears, your Stamina refills normally.

That’s how to increase your Stamina in Nightingale. It’s important to keep a snack on hand and stay Rested so you can continue your adventures without dragging your feet.
