Withering Rooms: How to Solve the Cholera Clinic Jumping Puzzle

To successfully solve the Cholera Clinic Jumping Puzzle in Withering Rooms, you need to note the number of corpses on both sides with each jump. The Disciple’s Path clue in the Examination Room will guide you on which side to pick based on these amounts. In addition, to make the last two jumps correctly, you must keep track of the number of corpses on the side you didn’t choose for the first two jumps.

Remember, the number of corpses will be randomly generated with each attempt at solving the puzzle. However, we’ll still provide instructions on solving it because the puzzle’s solution doesn’t change.

Here is The Disciple’s Path clue broken down:

  1. The Night Mother speaks to many. (pick the side with more corpses)
  2. But only a few will follow. (pick the side with fewer corpses)
  3. Shun those who ignored her message. (avoid the large number from step 2)
  4. Pursue those she did not speak to. (pick the small number from step 1)

For example, based on the number of corpses on my playthrough, I solved the Cholera Jumping Puzzle this way:

  1. Left: 2, Right: 7 -> Jump Right
  2. Left: 4: Right: 6 -> Jump Left
  3. Left: 1, Right: 6 -> Jump Left (avoiding the larger number from 2)
  4. Left: 3, Right: 2 -> Jump Right (picking the smaller number from 1)

If you choose the wrong side during the puzzle, you will end up at the top of the jumping puzzle in the Cholera Clinic Bathroom to start again. On the other hand, if you successfully solve the puzzle, you will fall into the Basement Hallway and can proceed with Chapter 3.
