The Organ Puzzle is similar to the Observatory Puzzle you completed earlier in Chapter 2. However, it may seem impossible to complete if your game is in a specific state, leading you to run around without knowing what to do. Here’s how to solve the Organ Puzzle in Withering Rooms so you can progress to Chapter 3!

How to Get the Basement Door Handle in Withering Rooms

You can use the same logic as the Observatory puzzle to solve the Organ Puzzle in Withering Rooms. First, view the grid hint by reading the ‘Celestial Music’ document in the same room as the Organ. Then, you need to count the stars using the same Telescope in the Observatory room. Each star count corresponds to a note on the Organ’s keys. For instance, a count of 5 would mean playing the fifth note on the Organ. Play the keys in order according to the star count to unlock the secret compartment.

It’s worth noting that if your curse level is too high, you won’t be able to find the star chart you need to solve the puzzle. I ran around for hours thinking the puzzle was bugged until I remembered the environment changes based on your curse level.

As you can see in the picture above, my environment has changed based on my curse level. You should complete this puzzle on a fresh night when your curse level is low or stand in the room while burning a candle. You’ll see the environment change. Once it does, look for the “Read ‘Celestial Music'” prompt on your screen.
