Playing first-person shooter zombie games like Sker Ritual can be much more enjoyable and survivable when you play with friends. However, it can become tricky and frustrating if only some of your friends are on the same gaming platform.
This frustration is especially true if the game you want to play together does not support crossplay, which should be a standard feature in this age of gaming. So, you might wonder if Sker Ritual is crossplay before buying it. And if it does, which devices does it support?
Does Sker Ritual Have Crossplay?
The good news is that Sker Ritual has crossplay. However, before you get too excited, the game only supports crossplay between PC and Xbox devices. This restriction means you cannot play with your friends who own the game on PlayStation (or vice versa if you play on a PlayStation console).
In addition, crossplay is only possible through random matchmaking, which you must enable in your Networking Options menu, meaning it is not currently possible to create a private party or invite players from other platforms. This is the reason why you only see your friend’s list from your platform. Otherwise, you can have up to four players per match from supported crossplay devices.
Unfortunately, the developers have not released any information on why this is the case or if they will add PlayStation crossplay support so all players can play with each other regardless of which platform they purchase the game. Since playing Sker Ritual with friends makes completing objectives on each map easier, we hope it is their highest priority, especially as initial excitement about the game dwindles and the player count decreases.
Now that you know if Sker Ritual is crossplay or not, you can decide to purchase the game on the platform that most of your friends play on.
