Does Minecraft Legends have an Early Access period? Here's the answer.

If you’re wondering whether or not there’s an Early Access period for the upcoming Minecraft Legends, the answer is that there isn’t an EA period for Mojang’s upcoming franchise spinoff.

Minecraft Legends releases on April 18, 2023, for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms, but those hoping to get into the multiplayer action-strategy title will have to wait until the game releases on all of those platforms. Likewise, though MC Legends will be on Game Pass as a Day One title, it won’t be available early, either.

Those interested in playing the game as soon as possible can pre-order the Standard Edition of the game for $39.99 or the Deluxe Edition of the game for $49.99 through various storefronts:

When Does Minecraft Legends Release? Dates and Times

Since there is no Early Access period for Minecraft Legends, when does the game release if you decide to pre-order it? What are the earliest dates and times that you can start playing?

According to Mojang, here are the earliest times you can start playing MC Legends on April 18, 2023 (or April 19, 2023, depending on your location, noted below):

  • Seattle: 9 a.m. PDT
  • New York: 12 p.m. EDT
  • Sao Paulo: 1 p.m. BRT
  • London: 5 p.m. BST
  • Stockholm: 6 p.m. CEST
  • New Delhi: 9:30 p.m. IST
  • Tokyo: 1 a.m. JST (April 19)
  • Sydney: 2 a.m. AEST (April 19)

Mojang acknowledges in its official tweet that these times are approximate. Just as with any release, it’s possible there could be hiccups that keep Minecraft Legends from releasing at those exact times on each platform. If you attempt to play the game at exactly those times and run into any issues logging in, wait a little while longer and retry.

Though there’s no way to get early access to Minecraft Legends, the wait for fans is almost over. For more, head over to our MC Legends review to see what we thought of it.
