Manor Lords mixes large-scale strategic battles, economic and social intrigue, and the cozy elements of a city-builder game. This is all wrapped up in a realistic medieval package where heraldry and titles are the main elements of renown. So when is the Manor Lords release date?

When is Manor Lords Coming Out?

Manor Lords is launching in Early Access on April 26, 2024, developed by Slavic Magic and published by Hooded Horse. You can play it on Steam via PC, but there’s also an Xbox console release for Series X, Series S, and Xbox One. Gamepass users will be able to get it on day one. As for the Early Access decision, it seems Slavic Magic wants to employ an open development strategy with feedback from the players actively being utilized in the development.

So far, there aren’t any plans for a roadmap of the game, but we have received a detailed description of game mechanics and what the game is. Slavic Magic describes that this won’t be a Total War clone, but it’ll focus on city-building elements and how that influences battles. Battles won’t be as vast or as frequent as in Total War, which focuses the game more on the political and economic intrigue of running a kingdom as a medieval lord. That said, you won’t be managing an empire, it’s on a much smaller scale.

In terms of the release price, the developer discussed it on Reddit in one of the community posts. They plan to make it around $30 with a discount at launch. The Early Access details on the Steam store page also state that this won’t be the price for the full release, so if you’re interested, it’s best to jump in now while it’s much cheaper. There also seem to be plans for a soundtrack and artbook, but a release date hasn’t been announced.

Lastly, there haven’t been any confirmations on multiplayer, but community threads are discussing local co-op. Since Slavic Magic is so in tune with their community, this doesn’t seem like an impossible idea to implement.
