Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask: Lovey Dovey Pokemon Puzzle Solution

This Pokemon is just as lovey-dovey as the couple of NPCs in the Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is filled with all sorts of new Pokemon and mysteries. When you arrive at the Community Center in Mossui Town, you’ll learn the ins and out of the Kitakami region, then set out to explore the land. You’ll meet a lovey-dovey couple looking for a Pokemon to match while you’re out there, too. Here’s the solution to the lovey-dovey Pokemon puzzle in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Teal Mask.

Behind the Community Center in Mossui Town, you’ll find an NPC couple with orange speech bubbles above them. They’re looking for a Pokemon that’s just as lovey-dovey as they are. Hint: the Pokemon in question is kind of a package deal. Still stumped? This pair is looking for the Couple Pokemon, Tandemaus, of course.

Show the pair of NPCs any Tandemaus you’ve caught to receive a reward. They won’t keep the Pokemon you show them, so don’t worry about giving up your Tandemaus in the process.

When you show the NPC couple a Tandemaus, they’ll give you the Heart (Right) emote and the Heart (Left) emote as a reward for your efforts. These will be added to your emote library for you to use in camera mode. With the new poses, you can show off your own lovey-dovey Pokemon.

Note that many players are currently experiencing a new bug that prevents them from adding these emotes and others to their library, myself included. Some have taken to Reddit to survey the issue and troubleshoot for a solution without luck. That said, we may need to wait for another patch to see results.

Where to Find Tandemaus in The Teal Mask

Tandemaus can be found in various grassy areas of the Kitakami region, highlighted on the above map. I had the best luck finding the cutesy Normal-type in Wistful Fields. However, there are plenty of these Pokemon roaming around Apple Hills, the entrance to Oni Mountain, and the Paradise Barrens.

You should be able to find and catch the Couple Pokemon with no problem, as they’re a pretty common spawn. Once you’ve managed to catch one, head on back to the Community Center to show off your new partner.

That’s everything you need to know about the lovey dovey puzzle in the Teal Mask DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. For more help on your Kitakami adventure, browse our Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Teal Mask guides hub.
