How to Defeat Regeneradors in RE4 Remake

The first time you’ll encounter Regenerators in RE4 remake is in the Island’s Laboratory section. There, you’ll have to solve the Electronic Lock Terminal Puzzles, starting with the Dissection Room, until you’ve leveled up your Keycard.

However, as soon as you’re done with the first puzzle, a Regenerador will surprise you, and you can either attempt to kill it or escape its clutches.

This foe can still hit you from medium range by extending its arm. Moreover, trying to kill it will waste a lot of bullets. As such, we suggest continuing with the puzzles and avoiding them as necessary for now.

Eventually, once you’ve obtained a Level 2 Keycard from the Freezer, you’ll be able to head to the Incubation Room. There, you’ll notice four Regenerators in stasis tanks. Don’t shoot any of the tanks, or the creatures inside will emerge.

Instead, head to the back of the room to pick up the Biosensor Scope. This is an important item that can be attached to any weapon that’s compatible with a scope, preferably sniper rifles.

When you zoom in, you’ll see at least three Plaga parasites inside a creature’s body. To quickly eliminate your foe, you’ll have to shoot and destroy the parasites. This is the fastest way to kill Regenerators in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Here are some other tidbits and tips for taking down Regeneradors:

If you’re attempting to get the “Two Bugs, One Stone” trophy or achievement, a single Stingray or SR-M1903 bullet can pierce through two parasites if you line up your shot perfectly.

In most combat situations, though, the CQBR Assault Rifle and LE5 SMG are more ideal. That’s because Regenerators will still move and flop around even if you manage to hit one parasite. Trying to aim at a nearby target that’s moving can be a hassle, which makes automatic weapons more preferable compared to bolt-action or semi-automatic ones.

In any case, now that you know how to effectively kill Regenerators in Resident Evil 4 remake, you might want to look at other facets of the game. We’ve got an RE4 remake guides hub with everything you need to know.
