Sand Land: Should You Negotiate or Pay Up?

Here's whether you should choose the Negotiate or Pay Up option when speaking with For in Sand Land.

During the “A Jump-bot?! Gimme!” quest in Sand Land, you’ll head to the Junker Market in Lisab to speak with wannabe junkers and gain more information about the location of the Jump-bot frame. When you arrive at Junker Market, you’ll talk with one particular spunky junker named For. During the conversation, he’ll ask you to pay him for the information you seek, but you can also choose to negotiate with him instead. Here’s whether you should negotiate or pay up when speaking to For in Sand Land.

Should You Negotiate or Pay Up in Sand Land?

During your conversation with For, he will give you two choices: Negotiate or Pay Up. Here is what happens when you choose each option so you know the outcome either way.

If you choose the Negotiate option in Sand Land, For will hint at Ann that he wants something from her in exchange for the information. While it may seem inappropriate initially, what he wants is innocent and funny. He wants Ann to say “Please” when asking him for the information your party needs. After Ann asks him nicely to share the information, he gets the above reaction and then tells your party what you need to know.

If you choose the Pay Up option in Sand Land, you’ll immediately hand For the money, and the conversation will proceed. He’ll then fill you in on the information your group needs to proceed with the quest. Don’t worry about losing money, though, because, in a funny turn of events, he gives you your money back (as shown in the screenshot above).

In conclusion, whether you pick the Negotiate or Pay Up option in Sand Land, the end result will be the same: For will tell you that you need to infiltrate the Lisab battleship to track down the jump-bot frame, and it’ll cost you no money.
