Knowing how to get the Compound Bow in Sons of the Forest rewards you with a strong ranged weapon that uses arrows instead of bullets. While different arrow types will do varying amounts of damage, using arrows makes it difficult to run out of ammo for your bow since you can craft or even 3D print them.
How to Get the Compound Bow in Sons of the Forest
Getting to the Compound Bow requires you to do a bit of a scavenger hunt across the island for specific items that you’ll need in order to get into Maintenance B where the bow is located. Although the shovel is the only item required to get into Maintenance B, the process of getting it involves clearing a few caves.
Since the Shovel is crucial for completing Sons of the Forest and getting multiple items, it’s the first thing I get in every game. Even if I join a game with friends, they know that I’m rushing for the shovel.
Once you have the shovel, you can head to the dig-site for Maintenance B, which is circled on the map below.
Like the other maintenance sites, the inside isn’t too big aside from a couple rooms, and one section is the typical living quarters area. If you go into the living quarters, there’s a bedroom in the back and a connected bathroom. In the bathroom, you’ll find the Compound Bow leaning against the bathtub next to a body.
