Co-op gamers have a new option with the Starship Troopers: Extermination Early Access launch, but it’s not without its issues. Some players are experiencing audio stuttering while playing the game, but it’s not something you have to just accept. We have some potential audio stuttering fixes for Starship Troopers: Extermination for you to try.
How Is Audio Stuttering Presenting in Starship Troopers: Extermination?
Some of the issues experienced for the audio include repeating weapon fire when no weapons are being used, and desynced audio.
The firing can even stutter, so you get mixed weapon sounds when there’s not supposed to be any. I’ve found this to be frustrating, as it made it seem like I or my allies were being fired upon when nothing was actually happening.
Starship Troopers: Extermination Audio Stuttering Fix
The only good bug is a dead bug, and that applies to the annoying audio stutters you may have experienced. Try out these possible fixes to see if they take care of the issues you have.
- Change your audio quality to low: Many are finding changing this setting takes care of any audio stutter, desync or repeated weapon fire sounds
- Swap Weapons: For some reason, changing out your weapon causes the repeated firing sounds to stop, possibly due to “updating” which weapon you’re carrying. If you don’t have extras, ask a teammate for help
- Restart the game: A simple restart may fix all your audio issues
- Send official support ticket: If all else fails, you’ll need to submit an official support ticket or bug report by posting on the Steam Community Discussion threads, or reaching out via the official Discord server.
Those are the current ways to resolve audio stutter issues in Starship Troopers: Extermination. As the game is in Early Access, the next patch or incoming hotfix could resolve this issue entirely.
