The priority of certain characters has changed in both PvE and PvP, as well as Death Matches. Be sure to check out the list below for a better idea of what’s going to be relevant this new year.

SS-Tier Heroes

Red Zeldris
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Attribute: Strength
  • Location: Draw Hero

Red Zeldris is currently the most powerful Strength-based character in the Grand Cross. His attacks are the strongest and his defenses are the most reliable.

He is also an excellent team unit, who increases all basic stats of his allies by 6%. Zeldris also has an ability to deplete enemy move gauges and disable recovery skills.

Zeldris performs equally well in PvP matches, both geared and ungeared. Although he has no AoE abilities, his Spike skill can deal up to 840% damage to a single target, which is incredible.

Overall, this hero will never let you down even in the most complicated scenarios in both PvE and PvP.

Blue Lillia
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Attribute: Speed
  • Location: Draw Hero

While Zeldris is capable of depleting the ultimate move gauge of a single enemy, Blue Lillia can do the same trick but in an AoE fashion.

She actually combines a whole slew of abilities that are extremely useful, such as healing ability, decreasing skill ranks, removing debuffs, and many others. All this makes Lillia a terrific hero for both PvE and PvP modes.

Her Star Link ability also works like a pure damage AoE that hits all enemies with an attack power of up to 525% of base damage. This is a really powerful skill that can be used in combination with all of her debuff skills to a great effect.

S-Tier Heroes

Red Gowther
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Attribute: Strength
  • Location: Draw Hero, Coin Shop

One of the biggest advantages of Red Gowther is his ability to disable all enemy attack skills. This renders them completely useless in battles.

On the other hand, Gowther buffs all the skills of allies, which gives all of them a massive boost. He may not be as good in PvE as other heroes, but he is indispensible in PvP and Death Matches.

His Rewrite Light skill can also deplete an enemy’s ultimate move gauge, which easily makes him a top-tier character.

Green Escanor
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Attribute: HP
  • Location: Draw Hero

This hero has one of the most unique abilities in the entire game: The Person Who Stands on the Pinnacle. This skill grants him a complete immunity from any kinds of debuffs.

Additionally, he can just as easily remove any of the buffs from the enemies. But the best one is probably his ability to fill up his ultimate move gauge quicker than any other hero in SDS: Grand Cross.

Escanor is an excellent choice for PvP, but he may not be as good in PvE due to a complete lack of any AoE skills.

A-Tier Heroes

Blue King
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Attribute: Speed
  • Location: Chapter 3, Coin Shop

One of King’s most distinct skills is his petrification ability. Enemies that are petrified can’t receive any buffs, and are basically useless.

Blue King also has one of the strongest AoE attacks amongst all other heroes. That’s why he is one of the most sought out characters in the PvE mode. But he can be just as useful in both geared and ungeared PvP.

Unfortunately, his defense abilities are quite subpar and he does require a strong tank to support him.

Red Derieri
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Attribute: Strength
  • Location: Draw Hero

Every team needs a solid tanky character that can soak up a lot of damage. Derieri is that kind of character.

In PvP she is essential against ranged enemies, and in PvE she can perform all kinds of tasks from protecting allies to decreasing damage dealt by the enemies.

Her Combo Star ability allows her to amplify her attacks and deal up to 945% damage to a single target.

Blue Tarmiel
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Attribute: Speed
  • Location: Draw Hero

Here is an anti-tank hero that depletes enemy HP stats making them easier to kill. This is possible due to Tarmiel’s Angelic Wrath ability.

He has his own skill that heals allies and his generally high defense stats make Tarmiel an excellent ally in PvP mode. He also possesses an Ark Shield, which he can use to protect allies from various types of damage.

Despite all these advantages, Tarmiel is not as good in any other game mode. But if you mainly play in PvP mode, then Tarmiel is definitely a top-tier choice.
