How to do Tummy Time with Infants

Tummy Time is an interaction between adults or elders and infants in the Growing Together expansion pack for The Sims 4. This interaction is not part of the base game infant update as it deals with milestones, which are introduced in Growing Together.

To do Tummy Time, your infant will need to have Bladder, Hunger, Energy, Hygiene, and Attention in the green. While your infant is lying on the Tummy Time Mat, which comes when they age up from baby, select the following choices from the pie menu.

  1. Friendly
  2. Activities
  3. Tummy Time Together

The adult Sim or caretaker will then roll the infant over and encourage it as it tries to roll back. Tummy Time often makes an infant angry, unfortunately, but it’s well worth the fuss as they can unlock the Lift Head milestone even if they fail to roll over.

With a successful Tummy Time, your infant can unlock both the Roll Over to Back and Roll Over to Tummy milestones. These are essential for being able to unlock other milestones and further develop your infant’s skills.

That’s how to do Tummy Time with your infants in The Sims 4. For other infant or Growing Together guides, such as how to get Science Babies and an explainer on Family Dynamics, check out our Sims-filled guides page.
