Colorful Coastline

Coastlines are the best places to get the best of the land and sea in Minecraft. This ocean is home to a Coral Reef, shipwrecks, and a few Warm Ocean Ruins. Players exploring on land will have the fortune of finding a Jungle Temple next to the entrance to a Lush Cave! Further down the coastline, players will find a half-buried Desert Temple and a Desert Village as well. It’s a wonderful combination of structures that gives players plenty to do in survival mode.

This Pillager Outpost rises above even the tallest peaks of the Stony Peaks biome it resides in. It blends in with the mountainous scenery and adds a bit of danger to players’ explorations of the Savanna. If fending off Pillagers on rocky terrain isn’t exciting enough for you, players will also find three Ancient Cities hidden beneath the Savanna. One of them is conveniently located beneath the same mountain range that the Pillager Outpost rests on.

Important Locations and their Coordinates

Cold Ocean Inside Plains Biome

Typically, Minecraft oceans take up a lot of space. In contrast, the Cold Ocean in this seed is small and fits nicely into a Plains biome. A Beach biome surrounds it, causing turtles to spawn and swim around. The village next to this biome is home to a Blacksmith, whose chest contains some iron gear. Two other Plains Villages can be found to the northwest and southwest of the first village.

Important Locations and their Coordinates
Plains Village 1: 37, -228
Plains Village 2: -129, -235

Two Cherry Grove mountains tower above the surrounding Plains biome, each hiding an Ancient City beneath their cheery pink exterior. While both mountains are riddled with caverns, it will be easiest to do some digging of your own to reach each Ancient City. Plan the route to the first city carefully to visit a mineshaft along the way. It will help you get better prepared to explore the city and take on the Warden if you accidentally awaken it.

When spawning into this world, Java players will find themselves on the edge of a Plains Village. Looking around the town will lead you to a lone Cherry Grove tree to its right. • Version: Bedrock
  • Spawn: 0, 0
  • Biomes: Badlands, Desert, Wooded Badlands

This tall Desert Temple acts as a barrier between a Pillager Outpost and its neighboring Desert Village. While this makes the Temple a sacred place for the villagers, it also makes for a great starting base for survival players. You can easily fight the Pillagers, farm with the villagers, and uncover the treasure in the Temple’s hidden room while residing in it. When you’re ready to construct your own base, travel east to gather wood from a Mangrove Swamp.

Desert Temple: 281, 154
Pillager Outpost: 329, 118

Lots of Jungle Ruins

Many Minecraft Jungles can feel barren since structures like villages and Pillager Outposts don’t spawn within them. However, this Jungle is a lucky one that’s filled with some of the few structures that can spawn in it. Aspiring Jungle explorers will find four Jungle Temples and three Trail Ruins in a four-hundred-block radius around Spawn. Players will also find a few ruined Nether portals in this radius, as well as another Jungle Temple outside of it. It’s one of the best Jungle seeds out there for those wanting to try out the Archaeology aspect of the 1.20 update!

Occasionally, ruined Nether portals can spawn beneath the ground. In most instances, portals that spawn below the surface are completely hidden from players who don’t already know of their existence. Luckily, the ruined Nether portal in this seed happens to have been generated inside a small cave hidden within a Plains Village. Players who come across this can seal off the portal and use its cave as a secret base beneath the town.

One of the best structures introduced in Minecraft 1.20 is the Trail Ruins. These ruins allow you to become an archaeologist in Minecraft through the use of copper brushes and give you access to all kinds of unique loot. If you’ve not spent much time excavating them, this seed will help you explore four unique ruins in one Taiga. Archaeology lovers can travel east or west from the Taiga to explore Cold Ocean Ruins in the nearby seas.

Sniffer Island

At first glance, this island seems just like any other basic Minecraft survival island. However, looks can be deceiving! To start, this island is situated in the center of a Warm Ocean biome. This means that all of the ruins surrounding it are Warm Ocean Ruins, which are the only places where Sniffer Eggs can be found. If finding these elusive creatures isn’t reason enough to try this world, players will also find a deep cave in the center of the island. It very quickly drops down to deepslate and is home to both a lava lake and a mineshaft.

This 1.20.1 Minecraft seed contains one of the prettiest Woodland Mansions you’ll ever see. The Mansion has partially spawned inside a Grove mountain, making it look like a dwarven fortress. It’s not every day that you find a Pillager Outpost floating around the ocean. This outpost drifts along the edge of a small sandy island, making it more difficult to reach. However, this difficulty is a blessing in disguise as the outpost’s Pillagers will move more slowly in the water, making them a bit easier to fight. Anyone looking to challenge their combat skills further can take on an Ocean Monument hidden deeper within the ocean.

  • Version: Bedrock
  • Spawn: 135, 2
  • Biomes: Beach, Dark Forest, Forest, Ocean

Since Woodland Mansions only spawn in Dark Forests, it’s uncommon to see them right next to an Ocean. This one lies on the very edge of a Dark Forest peninsula and contains four secret rooms to discover. Two are on the first floor, while the other two hide on the third floor. One of them is truly special as it contains a block of obsidian surrounding a diamond block.

This seed puts the “mine” in Minecraft! The stars of the show are the seven Ancient Cities scattered beneath the mountain range at Spawn. Each one is home to a myriad of treasures guarded by fierce monsters, including the Warden. Make sure to swing by the closest Plains Village before starting your descent into the Deep Dark. You won’t be able to leave the caves that easily, so you’ll also want to bring plenty of food and wood for crafting.

  • Biomes: Beach, Birch Forest, Plains

Having a set of Trail Ruins next to Spawn is the best way to explore 1.20’s new archaeological features. While there is only one set of ruins on land, the nearby ocean has a few warm and cold ocean ruins to explore as well. Before heading toward those, dig a few blocks beneath the coast to find a buried treasure chest. It has some armor and a few other items you’ll find useful while starting your world.

In one of the pockets, you’ll find a Plains Village with a nearly complete ruined Nether portal that is only missing two blocks of obsidian. In another, you’ll find a Savanna Village with a Blacksmith. You’ll want to head here first because the Blacksmith’s chest contains three diamonds that can be used to fix the ruined portal.
