How to Get Ulrika Magdova in Total War: Warhammer 3 Chaos Dwarfs

To unlock Ulrika Magdova in Total War: Warhammer 3, you must first create a Creative Assembly account.

You can do this by going to Creative Assembly’s login page, where you can input your details. Then, you’ll need to link your launcher account (i.e., Steam or Epic Games).

Once that’s done, run the Total War: Warhammer 3. You should see the “Unlock Ulrika: Legendary Hero” button in the lower-right corner of the main menu. It will say something about completing her unique quest.

How to Complete the Empire and Kislev Quests to Unlock Ulrika Magdova

Ulrika Magdova is only available to the Empire and Kislev (and, yes, she’s also present in Immortal Empires). To get her into your army, you’ll have to complete the following tasks:

  • Reach Level 11 with your Legendary Lord.
  • Slaughter on the Steppes — Build the Frozen Outpost (Kislev) or Tall Walls (Empire). These structures are Tier 3 buildings in the Defenses tab.
  • Bait the Bloodborn — You must then amass at least 15,000 gold at the start of your turn.

Should You Recruit or Execute Ulrika?

After doing the above, you’re presented with a dilemma:

  • Recruit Ulrika — She ends up joining your faction as a legendary hero.
  • Execute Her — Gain +15 growth and +5 control (faction-wide); she’ll be gone for good.

Naturally, you’ll want to bring Ulrika along with you, given her capabilities. She has combat skills that make her deadly as both a melee and a ranged fighter. Likewise, she has some passive perks that provide boons to any army she’s embedded in.

Even better, she has access to the Lore of Shadows, which includes spells like Penumbral Pendulum and Pit of Shades. Assuming you’re playing an Empire campaign, you can have her, along with Gotrek and Felix, to get the gang back together again. The only ones missing are Malakai Makaisson and a Thanquol that you can hunt down.

In any case, that’s is how you recruit Ulrika Magdova in Total War: Warhammer 3. While she’s part of a free update, it also coincides with the release of the Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC.
