Where is the Windmill or The Other Windmill in Fortnite

Visit one of these Windmill landmarks to complete this Air Chakra quest!

Just like Coastal Columns in the Fire Chakra for Fortnite, the Air Chakra quests will have us exploring the map for the unmarked locations of the Windmills. Here’s where to find both of them on the map and complete your quest by performing an Air Jump.

How to Air Jump at the Windmill or The Other Windmill in Fortnite

The two Windmill locations in Fortnite are Landmark spots, meaning their names won’t appear on the map like the major POIs. Thankfully, they both are rather tall and are easier to spot from a distance. Here’s where they are:

The Windmill landmarks are northeast of Grim Gate and southwest of Fencing Fields. Both are on top of hills, and their height makes them relatively easy to detect as you get closer. Either one will work for your quest, you don’t need to go to both, so whichever one is closer to you is the better option. However, before heading to one of them, you’ll want to ensure you have an Airbending Scroll.

How to Get an Airbending Scroll

This quest is only possible to complete by first having an Airbending Scroll. With it, you can perform an Air Jump. There are a few different spots to get an Airbending Scroll, but the best ways are the Air Shrines.

The two Air Shrines are on the eastern side of the map: one northwest of Grand Glacier and the other northeast of Brawler’s Battleground. Each shrine carries two Airbending Scrolls by interacting with the scroll containers in the center of the shrines (holding X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, or E on PC).

You can also find some scrolls outside of the Air Shrines within chests. I would suggest looting chests within vaults or bunkers for the best chance of finding them. Another spot I was lucky with was the train, since its loot containers also have a chance to drop higher rarity items.

How to Air Jump at a Windmill

Once you have an Airbending Scroll, you’ll want to head to one of the two Windmill landmarks. Thankfully, you can use the Air Wheel to get there much faster. Still, if you head to the shrine above Grand Glacier, you’ll want to visit the Windmill near Grim Gate, and if you land at the shrine near Brawler’s Battleground, you’ll want to head to the shrine near Fencing Fields. Whichever one is closest to you and within the storm circle is best.

Once you get there, ensure you’re close enough to the Windmill, and then perform your Air Jump ability by pressing LT on Xbox, L2 on PlayStation, or M2 on PC. Your Air Jump will make you fly upwards in a twist of air. It’s particularly great for getting above your enemies or onto high-ground spots that are difficult to reach (especially if you’re playing Zero Build). As soon as you use the ability in radius of the Windmill, you’ll complete the quest.

After completing this quest, you’ll earn some CHI and be a step closer to opening your Air Chakra. You’ll need to be a master of all elements before you can claim your special Appa Glider, so keep at it!
