Every Nomadic Merchant Location in Elden Ring

I’m cheating a bit with the nomenclature here, as while all the merchants belonging to Kalé’s people are Nomadic, the game doesn’t describe them all as such. Some are “Isolated,” others are “Hermits,” and one is even “imprisoned” in the depths of the earth. To make it easy, I’ll be grouping each merchant by the region you find them in: Limgrave, Weeping Peninsula, etc.

Where to Find All Limgrave Nomadic Merchants

Limgrave is the first area you’ll reach in Elden Ring and sets some of the tone for much of the game to follow, whether via its bosses like Margit the Fell Omen or the Tree Sentinel. There are also more merchants here than in any other region, totaling four. One of them you’re expected, but not guaranteed, to visit first, with others a bit more out of the way.

Shortly after emerging from the tutorial area and into Limgrave for the first time, you should see a decrepit church in the distance, just beyond the Tree Sentinel boss. The first of the Nomadic merchants you’re likely to find, named Kalé, sits by a small campfire with his pack animal within the ruined structure.

Church of Elleh, head southwest toward the sea. If you follow the cliffs on the western edge of the area to the south, you’ll eventually come across a large, broken piece of rounded castle wall. The Merchant rests in the shelter the ruin provides.

If you travel almost directly east from the Church of Elleh, the Tree Sentinel boss, and the First Step Grace, you should cross Agheel Lake and go through the Mistwood. You’ll eventually run into the Merchant at the wood’s southeastern edge. Alternatively, you can travel north from Fort Haight and the Fort Haight West Site of Grace. All glory to the Great Kenneth Haight.

The fourth Limgrave Merchant is a bit tougher to reach. As you make your way toward Stormveil Castle, you’ll enter the Stormhill zone. But rather than going into the keep and the Margit, the Fell Omen boss arena, turn east and follow the path toward Caelid. The merchant is on the north side of the road, just across the large bridge.

Where to Find All Weeping Peninsula Nomadic Merchants

The Weeping Peninsula to the south of Limgrave only boasts two Nomadic Merchants, one of whom you’ll find easily enough. The other is far afield of the otherwise beaten path.

Travel to the southern tip of Limgrave, across the Bridge of Sacrifice, and continue following the dirt road southward. As long as you stick to the path, you’ll come across this Nomadic Merchant near a Site of Grace.

It’s not hard to find the Isolated Merchant in the western Weeping Peninsula, but it is quite out of the way. You’ll be heading to the very southwestern edge of the area, south of the wandering mausoleum and the Fourth Church of Marika, to a lone shack at the edge of the fields. Isolated, indeed.

Where to Find all Liurnia of the Lakes Nomadic Merchants

Liurnia has three Nomadic Merchants scattered about its crystal waters, one of which is fairly easy to find, the other two a bit out of the way.

If you come to Liurnia from the Lake Facing Cliffs Site of Grace outside of Stormveil Castle, you’ll see a path leading past a church to the west. Follow it down, go around, or through the guardpost, and you’ll inevitably run into the merchant on the left side of the road next to their personal Site of Grace.

To reach this particular Isolated Merchant, you’ll need the Academy Glintsone Key from deep in the western part of the lake. Once you have the key, proceed to the Main Academy Gate and its Site of Grace, then head east (or left as you face the large elevator). It’s a long path around the side of the academy, past or through several groups of wolves, but you’ll eventually reach the Merchant.

To reach the Merchant in the north of Liurnia of the Lakes, you’ll need to travel all the way up the eastern landmass. North of the Church of Vows and the Carian Tower is the Bellum Church, and if you take the path leading further north through the church’s broken floor, you’ll find the merchant along the left side of the road.

Where to Find All Altus Plateau Nomadic Merchants

There are two Nomadic Merchants in the Altus Plateau, and while both are easy to get to, be prepared to ride Torrent a fair distance to find both of them.

  • The merchant in Central Altus Plateau in Elden Ring

You’ll find the easier Nomadic Merchant to reach in Altus Plateau by traveling up the path leading north from either the Grand Lift of Dectus or the elevator from the Ruin-Strewn Precipice Magma Wyrm fight. Keep the great wall around Leyndell on your right and stick to the brick road until you reach a broken bridge on your left. The merchant and his bespoke Site of Grace will be there.

Eastern Altus Plateau Hermit Merchant Location

  • The merchant in eastern Altus Plateau in Elden Ring

To reach the Hermit Merchant in the Altus Plateau, you’ll first need to get inside the wall surrounding Leyndell, Royal Capital, but not into the city itself. You can either go directly east from the Grand Lift, up the huge staircase, past the Tree Sentinels, and then north along the road, or travel southeast from the Windmill Village. Either way, once you reach the eastern edge of the battlefield but before you start getting shot by the giant golems, turn northwest up the path through the graveyards. The merchant is near the very edge of the wall.

Where to Find the Mt. Gelmir Nomadic Merchant in Elden Ring

  • The merchant in Mt. Gelmir in Elden Ring

There’s only one Nomadic Merchant on Mt. Gelmir, and if you’ve picked up the Scavenger’s Curved Sword, you’ll know pretty well how to get there. From the Bridge of Inquity, travel north and up the ladder on the mountainside, through the battlefield, across the natural rock bridge, past or through the Grafted Scion and the Scavenger’s Sword, and up not just the one ladder nearby but also the next ladder to your left after the one behind the Scion. You’ll find the merchant on the mid-level.

Where to Find All Caelid and Dragonbarrow Nomadic Merchants in Elden Ring

Between the Caelid Wilds and Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow, there are three Nomadic Merchants in the hellworld left behind from Radahn and Malenia’s battle.

Western Caelid Nomadic Merchant Location in Elden Ring

  • The location of the merchant in western Caelid in Elden Ring

Finding this Merchant is a bit tricky. You’ll want to take the road south from the Caelum Ruins, themselves east of the Rotview Balcony Site of Grace, until you’re about midway down the western coast of the Swamp of Aeonia. It’s more cliff face at this location than shore, but the Merchant rests under a tree up against the edge.

Southern Caelid Nomadic Merchant Location in Elden Ring

  • The location of the merchant in southern Caelid in Elden Ring
  • The merchant in southern Caelid in Elden Ring

The merchant in southern Caelid is technically easier to reach, though there are two potential world bosses on the way if you’re coming from the West. If you travel along the road south of Caelum Ruins, rather than going toward the Swamp cliffs, stick to the road traveling south and keep to it as it turns east. You’ll pass a dragon and possibly a Night Cavalary (if it’s nighttime) before you reach the merchant, but they are on the south side of the road when you do find them.

Western Dragonbarrow Isolated Merchant Location in Elden Ring

  • The location of the merchant in western Dragonbarrow in Elden Ring

To reach the one Isolated Merchant in the Dragonbarrow, you need to make your way to the northernmost section of it. If you’ve already unlocked the Bestial Sanctum, you can use that as a starting point, but one of the easiest points of interest is Fort Faroth, where one-half of the Dectus Medallion hides. Travel west along the road as far as it will take you to find the Merchant.

Hermit Merchant Location in the Mountaintops of the Giants in Elden Ring

  • The location of the merchant in the Mountaintops of the Giants in Elden Ring

There’s only one Hermit Merchant in the Mountaintops of the Giants, and they’re a beat to get to. First, you have to get to the Mountaintops, which means defeating Morgott, the Omen King, going up the Grand Lift of Rold, and finally, going into the snow-covered peaks. From the entrance, head north across down through the valley until you reach the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Grace. From there, continue north into the valley itself, then turn left. Keep the cliffs on your left, take the Spirit Spring near their end, then follow the cliffs along the western side of the plateau. If you hit the bridge, turn around. As you continue west, you should eventually turn south, then east, to reach the merchant.

Siofra River Abandoned Merchant Location in Elden Ring

  • The merchant in Siofra River in Elden Ring

The underground areas of Elden Ring house three additional Merchants, one for each area (except Deeproot Depths, oddly). All of them are tricky to find, with the one in Siofra River being one of the easier ones. Head to the middle of the area unit, and you go under the second bridge. You should see some scaffolding around one of the support columns. Climb to the top of the scaffolding, follow it around until you reach a stone section, and keep to the right until you can jump down into an orange-lit room. The merchant is there.

Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum Imprisoned Merchant Location in Elden Ring

Yes, there’s a merchant in the horror that is the Mohgwyn Palace. The closest Grace is the Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint near Mohg’s boss room. Head back into the caves and hang left, past a large column and into a set of smaller tunnels. One of Mohg’s Bloody Fingers will appear from beneath the ground. Take a left at its intersection to find the merchant. You can either log out and then back in to despawn the Finger or kill it. Either way, you can speak to the vendor.

Ainsel River Hermit Merchant Location

  • The location of the merchant in Ainsel River in Elden Ring
  • The merchant in western Caelid in Elden Ring

The final Merchant on our list is in Ainsel River. You’ll need to take the well elevator in Caelid or progress through Ranni’s questline and head down to the lower level. Once on said lower level, pass through the sluice gate and go to the large room behind and under the skull-faced monster throwing rocks at you. The merchant waits beyond the eldrich horror.

I hope that this guide has helped you find any of the missing Nomadic, Isolated, Hermit, or Imprisoned Merchants in Elden Ring. For much more on what you can find in the Lands Between, check out our Elden Ring guides hub.
