Where to Get All Bending Scrolls in Fortnite

Learn how to wield all the elements with these Bending Scrolls!

We already had a chance to try out Waterbending in Fortnite, but now it’s time to pick up the other elements. You can find all the Bending Scrolls around the map, but you’ll need to locate the Elemental Shrines. Here’s where to find them all.

How to Get All Bending Scrolls in Fortnite

The best way to get the Bending Abilities is to land at one of the Elemental Shrines around the map. These Shrines will drop the scrolls at their center podiums. Depending on what element shrine you land at, you’ll receive the matching scroll. Here’s where to find all the shrines:

  • North of Rebel’s Roost – Fire Shrine
  • East of Snooty Steppes – Fire Shrine
  • Southeast of Grand Glacier – Water Shrine
  • Northwest of Classy Courts – Water Shrine
  • East of Restored Reels – Earth Shrine
  • Southwest of Pleasant Piazza – Earth Shrine
  • North of Grand Glacier – Air Shrine
  • Northeast of Brawler’s Battleground – Air Shrine

You can tell what type of shrine it is by looking for the beam of light above it. The color of the light depicts the element. For example, red is Fire, green is Earth, blue is Water, and white is Air. They will be in the same locations every time. However, each shrine only carries two scrolls, so you’ll need to be quick to claim them.

Once you land at a shrine, head inside and look for the center podium. When you interact with the podium by holding X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, or E on PC, the two Bending Scrolls will fall onto the ground. Then, you can pick them up and start using them.

Occasionally, you can also find scrolls by looting chests around the map. An excellent place to look is in bunkers or vaults since Rare Chests are more likely to drop Mythic-level loot. When a scroll is found, an icon will appear on your map, so keep a close eye on it.

How to Use Bending Scrolls in Fortnite

Even though all the scrolls look the same, each elemental Bending Scroll has a different effect. The way the skill works will also look a bit different.

Firebending

Firebending sends out waves of flames in an arc formation, usually with the bender using more of their legs and feet in a kicking action. This has a wider radius than the Waterbending ice spikes, but less range. You can also do a fiery ground pound from above to produce an area of flames around you.

Waterbending

Waterbending requires a bit more precision with its needlepoint ice spikes. The water will circle around your character and you can aim and shoot out the spikes toward your target. You will also gain healing whenever you are submerged in water.

Earthbending

With Earthbending, you will use your environment to your advantage, grabbing chunks of rock and hurling them toward your target. It has significantly more knockback than the other elements. Alternatively, you can create a rock wall in front of you for some more defense. Very useful in Zero Build modes.

Airbending

Airbending is different from all the others because it is the only Bending ability without offensive attacks. It will only assist in getting you around the map faster with its Air Wheel and Air Jump abilities. The Air Wheel, in particular, is one I had a lot of fun with.

All the scrolls have unlimited uses, but they do have a bit of a cooldown time between. You can usually use each ability three to four times before it requires a cooldown. That means you’ll want some other weapons on hand as well.
