Yggdra Chronicle, also known as Yggdra Resonance Rebirth in the Asian region, is the reboot of the famous Shining Maiden gacha game. The global release of the game has only 12 maidens at launch, and here’s my tier list of the best characters in YC.
Top Characters in Yggdra Chronicle Ranked
Yggdra Chronicle S-Tier Characters
For S-tier characters, I’ve chosen Sonia and Nagi due to their great damage-dealing capabilities.
Sonia
Sonia belongs to the St. Rosemary’s School faction in Yggdra Chronicle, which has the best units of all the four factions present in the game. She owns a ranged weapon, which makes her indispensable to any team. While taking a position in the back row, I can use her rifle to take out enemies from a safe distance and, at the same time, deal tons of damage. If you can unlock her early on, that’s great, but she’s just as useful in the late game.
Nagi
Nagi is another powerful unit, but she comes from the Melody Forest faction, which is known for its magic abilities. Her power comes from two Spirit Guardian skills: extreme speed of movement and powerful burst damage. Although she can’t take a safe stance like Sonia, I can quickly slash through a group of enemies using her single-target attack. Of course, this means that she needs to stay at the front and take some damage, too.
Yggdra Chronicle A-Tier Characters
Both Erica and Yulia are very strong all-rounders, so I placed them in the A-tier.
Erica
Erica is the best support character in the Yggdra Chronicle. Her Rosemary Anti-Field ability allows her to increase the defense skills of her allies once her HP drops below a certain threshold. But my favorite of her abilities is the defense break skill Shining Blade, which can significantly speed up my run of the game.
Yulia
Yulia is a very good universal character who excels in both offensive and defensive skills. She’s also a fantastic supporter, being able to buff the power of her allies and grant them defense breaks. But I really like her Violent Strike ability, which removes all buffs from enemies, as that’s rather important here. Lastly, her Volkslock’s Sword skill allows her to boost critical damage.
Yggdra Chronicle B-Tier Characters
As for the supporters and healers, I selected Yuna and Mikoto.
Yuna
Although healers aren’t as important in this game as in many other mobile RPGs, if you’re still looking for one in the Yggdra Chronicle, then Yuna would be a good choice. Just as is the case with Sonia, I recommend placing her in the back row to keep her safe and spam her healing ability as much as you can.
Mikoto
Mikoto can seem like an odd choice to many, but you can find lots of good in her abilities. For example, she can increase the Ultimate skill gauge when it’s used. Her Gift of Nature skill allows her to cleanse all debuffs from her allies. But she can also heal all allies, which is useful, but, as I already mentioned, not so much in this game.
The other six maidens fall under the C, D, and E tiers and may not be too suitable for a winning team composition. But that’s it for my tier list of the best characters in Yggdra Chronicle. Stay tuned for more YC tips and tricks articles right here.
