Ys IX: Monstrum Nox All Recipes Guide: How to Find Them

In your time with the game, you’ll come across several Ys IX: Monstrum Nox recipes that you can give the bartenders at the Dandelions. These recipes will then let you create meals by using ingredients that Adol picks up on his adventure.

There are 13 total meals and 13 total recipes, but you only have to find 12 of the recipes since Flaky Baguette is unlocked by default. Giving the bartenders at Dandelion all 12 recipes in a single playthrough will net you the Haute Cuisine trophy on PS4/PS5 and the achievement on Steam. Additionally, if you give all 13 meals to Sister Mel at the Balduq Cathedral, you’ll get some useful items for your journey.

You can get these recipes at various points in the game by talking to people, finding them in treasure chests, or earning them as rewards by gathering collectibles.

Note that progress on the Haute Cuisine trophy or achievement does not transfer to New Game+. You must find all 12 recipes in a single playthrough.

3. Bouillabaisse Recipe (Chapter 4): Complete the “One in a Bouillon” quest

5. Potage Recipe (Chapter 5): Talk to Worker Witham in Prison Outskirts

7. Galette Recipe (Chapter 6 and onwards): Treasure Chest outside Nors Shrine Ruins (see image below for location)

9. Smoothie Recipe (Chapter 8) Feed Morbihan any four (of eight) unique Preserved Foods
