The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Long or Wide puzzle is found in the Utsushok Shrine. It will have you moving objects with your Ultrahand as a show of force. While the first challenge is fairly simple, others require a little bit of finesse to complete. And getting the treasure chest means you’ll need to be a bit get crafty. Here’s our guide to help you solve the Long or Wide Utsushok Shrine puzzle in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Utsushok Shrine Long or Wide Puzzle Solution in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Utsushok Shrine Location
The Utsushok Shrine is located in Faron, north of the Lake of the Horse God and south of Pagos Woods. The exact coordinates are 0669, -3358, 0072. Its location is marked on the map above so you know what to look for.
TotK Utsushok Shrine Long or Wide Puzzle Walkthrough
You’ll use your Ultrahand to move a ball across tracks in the Totk Long or Wide puzzle, and while it may seem simple enough, some of the challenges here end up being a bit tricky. I had a few do-over moments throughout the Shrine, but in the end, I discovered the easiest and quickest way out. Here’s what to do for each of the puzzle areas.
First Long or Wider Puzzle Solution
- Launch a ball forward when you enter the Shrine.
- Grab the rectangular block with your Ultrahand. Lift it up to the left, as shown above.
- Drop it, and it will propel the ball forward on the track and into the target.
- The gate will open.
- Enter the next room.
Second TotK Long or Wide Puzzle Solution
- In the next room, you’ll see a metal cube on your right.
- Grab the metal cube with your Ultrahand, and attach it to the back of the new rectangular piece in front of you, as shown above.
- Swing it back as you did with the previous challenge. The metal cube will add enough weight to propel the ball past the ramp on the track.
- Once the ball enters the target, the next gates will open.
Third Long or Wide Puzzle Solution
- When you enter this part of the Utsushok Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll see a new rectangular piece in front of you. Grab the rectangular piece with your Ultrahand, and attach it to lengthen the hanging slab, as shown above.
- Swing it to propel the ball into the target. A mining cart will appear and drop down to the other tracks.
- Up until now, you’ve seen the Long of the Utsushok Shrine challenge. Here, you’ll see the Wide. Detach the rectangular piece from the hanging slab.
Fourth Long or Wide Puzzle Solution
- Grab the new rectangular piece with your Ultrahand and attach it by its smaller end to the hanging stone, as shown above.
- Jump into the mining cart and grab the slab with your Ultrahand, swinging it back, but don’t let go quite yet.
How to Get the Utsushok Shrine Long or Wide Treasure Chest
Now that you’re ready to get in the mining cart, keep your Ultrahand ability ready to nab the Long or Wider treasure chest with a Sneaky Elixir inside. I zipped past this treasure chest the first time I played through the Utsushok Shrine and had to go back.
- On the left side of the track is the treasure chest, simply perched on a ledge.
- Once you let go, you’ll have to quickly grab the treasure chest with your Ultrahand as your cart zooms past it. This is one of the trickiest parts of the Long or Wide puzzle if you want the rewards. I had to use Recall twice to get the timing just right, so don’t worry if you don’t get it the first time.
With the Sneaky Elixir in hand, you can approach the exit and receive your Light of Blessing!
