Sometimes you just want to sell dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2. Maybe that’s because your park is overcrowded or you just want to start over without rebuilding everything. Whatever the reason, selling dinosaurs is easy, even more so than in the original game.

How to Sell Dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2

Selling dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2 isn’t the best source of income if that’s your goal, but it can help boost your profits if the animal in question is a large carnivore or a popular dino.

Doing so can also help you reconfigure your enclosures without having to wait for dinosaurs to die, which can be a lengthy process depending on their lifespan and gene modifications. On top of that, you’ll have to remove them after they’ve died, lest disease ravage other areas of your park.

Before you can sell dinosaurs in JWE 2, you will need to build the Response Facility for $100,000. This was previously called the ACU Facility in the first game. You’ll have access to this building very early since it’s necessary to keep your park under control and increase your dinos’ comfort

You do not need to upgrade the Response Facility to sell dinosaurs. The base building is all you need. You can get started as soon as it’s been constructed.

Once that’s built, you can start getting rid of dinos. To sell dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2, all you have to do is

  • Tranquilize the dinosaur (add a task for the Capture Team helicopter and let it do all of the work).
  • Choose Transport
  • Choose the tranquilized dinosaur
  • Press the Sell Dinosaur button (denoted in the bottom left corner)
    • R on PC
    • Triangle on PlayStation
    • Y on Xbox

You’ll then be met with a prompt that asks if you really want to sell dinosaurs and how much money you’ll receive if you do. You can press “OK” (the action cannot be undone) to sell the dino or “Cancel” to keep it. You can only sell dinosaurs one at a time.

This process works in the Campaign mode, Challenge mode, Chaos Theory mode, and Sandbox.

And that’s how you sell dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2. The prompt for doing so is incredibly tiny and hidden in the bottom left of the screen, so it’s easy to miss — I did for more than 15 hours. But now that you know what to do, you can sell dinos for profit if you see fit. It is your park, after all. For more, consider checking out other JWE 2 guides here.
