Miitomo Drop: How to win the Top Dog sets

May is here and Nintendo is releasing another batch of Miitomo Drop minigames. Check out how to win the Top Dog sets.

To celebrate the month of May, Nintendo released another batch of Miitomo Drop minigames. The Top Dog stages covet all the fashion a dog lover could ever need. These stages are only available for two weeks — until May 15, 2016 — so hop on them quickly!

Top Dog #1
  • Miitomo Drop Top Dog #1Poodle suit (3 colors)
  • Dog-logo socks (3 colors)
  • Poodle hood (3 colors)
  • Dog slippers (3 colors)

In the first level, all of the cool prizes are locked away behind dotted, bouncy barriers. You must drop in from the top if you hope to reach your cool cosmetics. On the plus side, however, you’ll never bounce off of the prize platforms.

If you’re going for the Poodle suit, Dog-logo socks, or Poodle hood, you’re going to want to drop on the left side of the stage, timing it precisely so the moving platform plops you down where you want to be. If you’re not sure what to go for, this is a good place to start. Anyone going for the Dog slippers should drop on the right side of the screen to avoid all of the other prizes.

Top Dog #2
  • Miitomo Drop Top Dog #2Spiked collar (3 colors)
  • Paw-soled boat shoes (3 colors)
  • Pet shop jumper (3 colors)
  • Jeans w/ ruff patch (3 colors)

On the second stage, every item is smack dab in the middle. Bouncers and diagonal slopes will help you reach most of them. This stage is more about where and how you drop than your timing.

Getting past the pink triangle properly to get the Spiked Colar can be tricky. Try to drop when the Mii is straight up and down so you don’t bounce off the platform when you sneak past the triangle. The other cosmetics are all about using the bouncers to your utmost advantage.

Top Dog #3
  • Miitomo Drop Top Dog #3Dalmatian suit (1 color)
  • Dalmatian ears (1 color)
  • Paw-print tights (3 colors)
  • Dalmatian top w/ collar (1 color)

The third stage is a large cluster of triangles, diagonal platforms, and bouncers. Your timing game needs to be on point if you hope to collect the Dalmatian set.

The Dalmatian suit is arguably the trickiest one to grab. You need to bounce off the right side of the pink triangle at just the right time to land on the platform.

On the bottom of the level, you can nab the Paw-print tights and the Dalmatian top w/ collar. Which one you get entirely depends upon the velocity at which you’re coming down those diagonal slopes. Coming down fast enough will send you over the bouncy dot and onto the platform across from you. If you’re not fast enough, though, it’ll bounce you back to the closer platform.
