Is Deadpool part of the initial roster in Marvel's Midnight Suns, or will you have to wait for the Merc with a Mouth?

Marvel’s Midnight Suns offers plenty of classic caped characters to choose from as you build your teams in preparation for its XCOM-style turn-based battles. With hundreds of beloved Marvel characters to choose from, however, not every fan favorite was able to make the cut for the game’s roster, and there are some notable omissions. Based on his overwhelming popularity, many players are wondering if Deadpool is in the game. Here’s what you need to know.

Deadpool in Marvel’s Midnight Suns

Originally, Deadpool wasn’t in Midnight Suns but has since been added as a piece of DLC. So, yes, he is in the game. But there’s a catch: the DLC isn’t free. In order to get Deadpool, you’ll either need to own the Midnight Suns Season Pass, which includes all of the DLC for characters such as Venom, Morbius, and Storm when it launches, or you’ll need to buy the Deadpool DLC on its own.

Deadpool’s DLC is called “The Good, the Bad, and the Undead” and includes Deadpool as a playable character, three additional story missions, multiple cosmetics for Deadpool, an Abbey upgrade, and Deadpool’s food truck. All of that will cost you $14.99 or $49.99 if you opt for the full season pass.

Unfortunately, if you’re just looking to unlock the merc-with-a-mouth and not spend any money on the other DLC content, you won’t be able to. While that’s certainly disappointing for some, it’s nice to know that Deadpool’s DLC seems to be setting a precedent for the other three characters in the Midnight Suns season pass. Previously, it seemed like players wouldn’t be able to buy the DLC individually and would need to shell out $50 even if they only wanted to unlock one of the four characters. Luckily, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

It’s unclear when the other three DLC characters will be added to the game, but with Deadpool’s January release, it feels safe to say that fans of the game will be kept busy for at least a little while.
