Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Pride of the Valley update brings Simba and a brand-new questline to experience alongside him. You’ll need to level up his friendship to gain access to his quests, of course. This guide will show you how to complete his level 4 friendship quest, The Great Gathering.
How to Complete The Great Gathering in Dreamlight Valley
First, you’ll need to level Simba up to Friendship Level 4, and complete his prerequisite quest, Hakuna Matata. Once you’ve taken those steps, the quest will become available to you.
As usual, we recommend asking Simba to hangout for the duration of the quest so you don’t have to continuously chase him down.

- First, find Simba on your map and select his icon to get a Dreamlight trail to him.
- Go to Simba and talk to him. He’ll tell you he wants to throw a party for some friends in the Valley, and that you’ll need Remy’s help to plan the menu.
- Find Remy on your map, and go to him.
- Talk to Remy, he’ll suggest a Large Seafood Platter, because it’ll provide enough food for everyone, including a Lion’s big appetite. You’ll also need a dessert for the gathering, Aurora’s Cake.
- You’ll find a recipe book in your inventory to officially learn the Large Seafood Platter recipe.
- Aurora’s Cake will require:
- 1 Egg
- 1 Milk
- 1 (any) Fruit
- 1 Wheat
- 1 Sugarcane
- Acquire all necessary ingredients, and head to a cooking station.
- Once you’ve cooked up the two recipes, head back to Simba and give them to him.
- Talk to Simba, and he’ll tell you that you need to gather the right guests for the picnic; Someone fun, someone to put everyone’s minds at ease, and a hero with many stories to tell.
- You’ll need to invite Goofy, Minnie, and Maui. Find them on your map and head to each of them. You’ll need to talk to them to invite them.
- Return to Simba after you’ve invited all three guests.
- Talk to Simba, he’ll give you the “No Worries” banquet table.
- You’ll need to place the No Worries table somewhere in your Valley. Go to the furniture menu and select Simba’s icon, it’ll be the only furniture item there.
- Once you place the table, everyone will gather around it and eat your recipes, posing for a photo along the way.

- Return to Simba, he’ll say he needs to talk to Nala.
- Follow Simba and watch him and Nala talk. You’ll learn that Simba forgot he had plans to feed critters with Nala, and needs to make it up to her.
- You’ll need to feed 5 critters around the Valley and grow 9 Carrots in the Peaceful Meadow biome.
- You can purchase Carrot seeds from the Peaceful Meadow Goofy stall for 10 Star Coins.
- Find 5 different Critters and feed them their preferred food, which we have in our guide here.
- Once you’ve grown the Carrots and fed the critters, return to Nala and talk to her.
- She’ll tell you to follow up with Simba, return to him and talk to him.
- Simba will thank you for your help making it up to Nala.
- You’ve now completed The Great Gathering!
