The location of every Hogwarts Castle Moth Mirror and its corresponding Moth in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy has no shortage of collectable items, and among these collections are the Moth Puzzles. If you include the first puzzle from the Like A Moth To A Frame side quest that teaches you how to solve them, then there are a total of twenty found in Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade that you need to solve to help fill out your field guide.

The Moth Puzzles are spread throughout Hogwarts Castle. It’s important to note that you need to use Lumos on each mirror before its corresponding moth appears in the game. Be sure to check out the companion guide for all the Moth Mirrors in Hogsmeade.

All Hogwarts Moth Mirror Puzzle Solutions

Astronomy Wing Moth Mirrors

From the Defense Against The Dark Arts Tower Floo Flame, you’ll find a mirror right in front of the flame’s location.

The moth can be found by the Floo Flame for Professor Fig’s Classroom.

From the Astronomy Tower Floo Flame, climb the stairs until you reach a fireplace where the mirror can be found.

To get the moth, continue up the stairs until you reach the observation deck with multiple telescopes. The moth is to the right by chalkboards.

From the Transfiguration Classroom Floo Flame, go through the door behind where you load in for the flame and up the stairs. The mirror is on the landing of the staircase.

For the moth, go down the stairs and into the History of Magic classroom, you’ll find a door with a Level 1 lock on it. Use Alohomora and you can grab the moth from inside that room.

Use the Transfiguration Courtyard Floo Flame and go through the nearest door. Turn left and you’ll go up the stairs to the next floor to find a door. Through that door is green smoke, and the mirror is on your right.

Continue down the hall to get the moth. You’ll find it in a room filled with centaur art.

Grand Staircase Moth Mirrors

Go to the Lower Grand Staircase Floo Flame. Go down the corridor to the right of the Slytherin Common Room’s entrance and follow it until you reach a suit of armor. The mirror is on your right.

To get the moth, continue down the right side, then take another right. Skip the first left turn and take the second turn where going left is your only option. The moth will be right in front of you.

Choose the Ravenclaw Tower Floo Flame and head down the spiral stairs to find the mirror at the bottom.

The moth is back up the stairs and in the room connected right to the stairwell that’s filled with green walls.

Use the Trophy Room Floo Flame and go up the stairs until you reach the entrance to the Headmaster’s Office. The mirror is on the right.

The moth for this mirror is back down the stairs, and at the bottom of the small staircase that takes you back into the winding corridor.

Library Annex Moth Mirrors

Use the Library Floo Flame and go to the second floor. The mirror is across from the corner where Sophronia is located.

The moth is located between the top of the two staircases on the second floor.

From the Potions Classroom Floo Flame, go through the door and down the staircase to the left. Continue forward until you see the mirror.

Continue down the hall until you reach a room with a large trophy case that has a troll in it. The moth is sitting on top of the case.

Great Hall Moth Mirrors

From the Great Hall Floo Flame, use the exit behind you and the mirror will be on the left.

The moth is back inside the Great Hall and behind where the faculty seats are located on the far end.

Go to the Viaduct Courtyard Floo Flame and follow the wall on the right side. The mirror is around the corner at the end facing the water.

From the mirror, go up the stairs to the left and follow the right path, then go left to find the moth in the far corner.

South Wing Clocktower Courtyard Moth Mirrors

From the Clocktower Courtyard Floo Flame, unlock the door near Lucan in the Crossed Wands room using Alohomora and you’ll find the mirror.

The moth is in the corner directly to the right from where you enter the courtyard coming from the Crossed Wands room.

There’s a second mirror from the Clocktower Courtyard Floo Flame. When you load in at the flame, go through the nearby door and over the bridge. To your left there’s a map with a Depulso button over it. Cast Depulso and you’ll unlock a hidden room behind the map where a mirror is located.

Leave the hidden room and go left down the stairs, then left again. There’s a door to your left for a girls’ bathroom, and the moth is inside.

Hogwarts North Exit Moth Mirrors

From the Hogwarts North Exit flame, there’s a shed on your left. The mirror is behind the Level 1 locked door inside the shed. Cast Alohomora and head inside.

Outside of the shed, continue along the left wall and past the stairs. The moth behind the little tower beyond the staircase.
