Oil is an important crafting material in ARK: Fjordur, and there are several ways to extract it. However, the best way is to find an oil vein and craft an Oil Pump. All Oil Vein Locations
There are four oil veins on the Fjordur map where you can set up Oil Pumps to collect oil passively. These locations include Broken Meadows, Runheimr Forest, Snaerheimr Mountains, and southeast of Vardiland island.

- 75 Metal Ingot / Scrap Metal Ingot.

You will also need an Electrical Generator and a Wind Turbine before you can craft an Oil Pump at the following stations:
- Fabricator.
- Tek Replicator.
One Oil Pump collects one unit of oil every 20 seconds of real-time; it will reach capacity in 28 hours. After that, you will need to craft a new Oil Pump if you wish to keep collecting oil from the same vein.
