The very first snapshot (22w03a) for Minecraft Java 1.18.2 is out now. This is also the first official snapshot of 2022. It doesn't change much except a few bug fixes and commands in the new update.
However, it does provide a deeper look at the unusual biome and structure generation that is now even more extreme than it was in the previous update. You will find plenty of glitchy, merged, and outright strange generation in both overworld and underground.
All this and more is gathered in our monthly top 20 selection of Minecraft 1.18.2 seeds right here.
Spawn on a beach near a village with blacksmith. On the iceberg next to you, there is a Titanic shipwreck that has a loot chest with a treasure map inside.
To the west, across the channel, you will find a safe haven of mushroom island with a few more shipwrecks around.
Woodland mansion with village at spawn!
The funny thing is that village spawns right inside the mansion complete with huts, farms, and campfires. This unusual amalgamation of structures is possible only in Minecraft 1.18.
At coordinates 80, 50 you will also find a ruined portal right under the mansion's foundation.
To the north of spawn you will see a double island village at coordinates 650, -450.
These are villages of two types standing on plains and savanna biomes. Fortunately these are also very close to the mainland, so it's going to be really simple to get there.
Fortunately, ice spikes biome isn't as rare as it was in the previous versions of Minecraft, which is evident in this seed. The ice spikes stretch well over 400 blocks in the northwestern direction.
You will spawn right between the two villages and an igloo at coordinates 100, 200.
Double taiga village with an exposed ruined portal at spawn!
This seed offers a great opportunity for all nether treasure hunters, as the portal will lead you straight to the bastion remnant and nether fortress.
You will gain access to all the loot inside the chests, as soon as you cross the lava pool.
On certain occasions, villages can spawn in the middle of the mountains in case there is a small patch of other biomes.
This seed gives you one such village right at spawn next to a giant ravine stretching across the mountain.
The other closest village can be found at coordinates -550, 350.
You will spawn on a little desert island with sand village next to another desert island with two merged structures.
At coordinates -200, -200 you will see a pillager outpost standing right on top of a desert temple on the ocean shore.
There is also a jungle temple at coordinates 200, 50.
Spawn on an isolated survival island with village and a top-tier shipwreck right next to it.
The mainland can be reached in the eastern direction with the next closest village being at coordinates -550, -700.
The closest ocean monument can be found at coordinates -300, 350.
Here is the seed for those who like to play on easy mode!
There are three villages at spawn, and one of them has blacksmith. Here are the exact coordinates of them all:
The latter one is a taiga village located at the foot of an extremely tall mountain.
Having an access to instant loot at spawn can really make a difference in a survival game.
Here you can find a village standing next to jungle temple at coordinates -200, -150, which is really close to spawn.
This can give you a nice headstart on your journey.
Survival islands come in all kinds of shapes and sizes in Minecraft 1.18. The island in this seed is made of a mountainous taiga biome with a cliffside village.
You can find this island at coordinates -700, 50, which stands next to another island with mega taiga biome.
If you ever wondered if it's possible to get to both nether world and the End from the same spot, then the answer is yes.
Travel to coordinates -1000, -1000, where you will find a stronghold that overlaps with the ruined portal, located right above the loot altar.
Minecraft players should always check the whole area around spawn for some unexpected gems.
In this seed you will spawn next to a small mushroom island just a few hundred blocks up north there is an island village, which is quite hard to spot at coordinates 350, -500.
The best part about this seed is that the village has an exposed ruined portal within it.
If you want your villagers to be in a relative safety, then it would be a good idea to get rid of all hostile mobs inside the mansion at spawn first.
Then you can settle inside and check all the secret walls and corners for some seriously good loot.
You will spawn in a snowy island village with a patch of green forest. There is actually another island village to the west at coordinates -500, 250.
The area between the two islands is completely covered with icebergs, but there is also a tiny mushroom island at coordinates -50, 100.
Often players go through a lot of trouble to get to the End portal, just to see it being demolished by the amethyst geode.
In this seed, you will find a geode spawning right next to end portal room in the stronghold at coordinates -1050, -1000, but fortunately, keeping it functional.
You will spawn in a nice desert village with an exposed ruined portal that doesn't need much work to be fully restored.
This portal will take you right inside the nether fortress to a location with a treasure chest for an easy loot.
Once you spawn next to a seashore village, go to coordinates 150, -150 for a weird shipwreck that doesn't have a ship, and just as weird ocean monument that spawns inside an ocean ravine.
To the north of spawn there is also a massive mushroom continent at coordinates -50, -400.
You will spawn right next to a mountain village with an igloo residing in the center of a green patch at the base of the jagged peaks.
The underground area to the east of spawn is completely covered with dripstone caves, which you can use for getting unique building blocks.
Lastly, here is one for those who like to collect Minecraft glitches!
You can find this jungle temple on the edge of the desert biome merged with one of the village farms at coordinates -200, -200.
