FFXIV Endwalker: How to Unlock Sage

FFIXV: Endwalker adds a new healer class to the jobs roster. Here's how to unlock Sage.

You’ll have to unlock Sage in FFXIV to get started with this new healer. Sage is one of the two new classes added to the jobs roster in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker (the expansion also includes a new melee DPS class with Reaper). For those in the healer profession, this stands alongside Scholar as a shield-focused class, rather than a regen-focused one like White Mage and Astrologian.

If you’re here, you’re wondering how to unlock Sage in FFXIV: Endwalker. Luckily, there isn’t too much you’ll have to do if you’re already at Level 70 or higher.

How to Unlock Sage in FFXIV: Endwalker

Final Fantasy XIV has had a long history of having new classes unlock new quests in one of Eorzea’s primary three city-states. With Endwalker, Sage is no different.

To unlock this new healing class, you need to both own the Endwalker expansion and have at least one character up to Level 70 or above. If you don’t have either, you won’t be able to unlock Sage, and you’ll have to wait to give the game’s newest healer a whirl.

When you meet those criteria, the unlock quest, Sage’s Path, will become available. It can be found in the Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks, at the coordinates (9.4,12.9).

When you arrive at the coordinates, speak with Sharlayan Maiden, who will let you begin the questline. Look for the big blue quest marker if you’re having trouble. After an introductory quest, you’ll have the Sage job stone, and the class will be unlocked for you to choose it and play.

And that’s how you unlock the Sage class in FFXIV: Endwalker. It really is that simple, especially if you already have a class at Level 70 or higher. If not, you could spend a little time on previous content in expansions like Shadowbringers or Stormblood to get ready.
