Genshin Impact Guide: Best Artifacts Tier List

Find the most fitting artifact sets for your characters with the help of this tier list guide to Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact artifacts are gear sets designed to boost your character’s elemental damage. All these sets are 4-star or 5-star artifacts, so be sure to get the 5-star variants if you can, since they are the most potent ones.

You also gain special bonuses by equipping either 2-piece or 4-piece variants of each set. The 2-piece sets usually boosts your normal attacks, while 4-piece sets give you extra abilities that are far more powerful than some of Genshin Impact‘s basic abilities.

This tier list guide highlights the best artifacts for your characters in Genshin Impact.

S-Tier Artifacts

Martial Artist
  • Location: Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula

Physical DPS players should look for the Martial Artist set for two reasons: it increases damage for both normal and charged attacks.

If you have a 2-piece set, your attacks will receive a 15% boost. If you have a 4-piece set, you will receive a 25% boost after using your elemental skill.

This is an excellent artifact set for characters like Xiao and Razor.

Crimson Witch of Flames
  • Location: Hidden Palace of Zhou Formula

This set is specifically made to increase pyro damage. If you’re wearing a 2-piece set, your pyro attacks will receive a 15% bonus.

But it is strongly recommended to get a 4-piece set, which does so much more. A 4-piece set:

  • Increases overloaded and burning damage by 40%.
  • Increases vaporize and melt damage by 15%.
  • Increases 2-piece set effects by 50%.

If you’re playing with Diluc or Xiangling, then this set is a must.

A-Tier Artifacts

Thundering Fury
  • Location: Midsummer Courtyard

Electro heroes have longer cooldown times than other characters, but this set will make them much more efficient.

The 2-piece Thundering Fury set increases your electro damage by 15%, as usual. But the 4-piece set goes further and increases all your overloaded, electro-charged, and superconduct damage by 40%.

The 4-piece set also triggers an effect that decreases your elemental skill cooldown by one second.

This is an excellent set for Keqing and Fischl.

Gambler
  • Location: Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern

Speaking of elemental skill cooldown reduction, Gambler is a set that removes cooldown times permanently.

No matter the element, the 2-piece Gambler set will only increase your skill elemental damage by 20%, but the 4-piece set will nullify elemental skill cooldown times each time you kill an enemy.

This is the perfect set for any healers on your team.

B-Tier Artifacts

Noblesse Oblige
  • Location: Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern

Now let’s take a look at the artifact sets geared towards support characters.

The Noblesse Oblige set is by far the best supporter set you can get in Genshin Impact due to its ability to increase the damage of all allies by 20%.

This ability is connected to elemental burst damage, so be sure to give it to such characters like Venti and Traveler.

Maiden Beloved
  • Location: Valley of Remembrance

This great for healers because it increases all healing effectiveness by 15%.

The 4-piece set is an essential item for the multiplayer, as it increases the healing effectiveness of all allies by 20%, which can play a huge role in co-op battles.

Healers like Qiqi and Jean would be happy to have a set of Maiden Beloved.

Viridescent Venerer
  • Location: Valley of Remembrance

Lastly, this is an artifact set made specifically for anemo characters, such as Venti, Jean, and Traveler.

Viridescent Venerer will boost your swirl damage by 60% in a 4-piece variant, and decrease an enemy’s elemental resistance by 40%, which is huge for any anemo player.

Viridescent Venerer will even work wonders on low tier characters like Sucrose, especially if you have pyro or electro allies in your team.
