Destiny 2: How to Get Revision Zero Exotic Pulse Rifle

Revision Zero marks the third Exotic weapon available during Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph. FInd out how to get it here.

Season of the Seraph in Destiny 2 might not come with new Exotic armor, but there are now three new Exotic weapons to chase. The latest of these, Revision Zero, is a two or four-shot Pulse Rifle with four separate “Catalysts” that augment how it functions and a not insignificant special mission to complete.

We’ll go over all the Exotic Quest steps here, but for the sake of brevity will cover the mission in full detail in its own article.

How to Complete The Hidden Shape Quest for the Revision Zero Exotic Pulse Rifle

To start The Hidden Shape Exotic Quest, you need to first reach Step 19 of the More Than a Weapon Seasonal Quest, at which point you can speak to the Exo Frame in the H.E.L.M. to receive the first step.

The Hidden Shape menus say the quest has eight steps, but it actually only has four. The catch is the first step requires you to complete the lengthy Seraph’s Shield mission, which we’ll be covering in its own article.

Here are the steps to The Hidden Shape Quest in Destiny 2.

Step 1: Complete Operation: Seraph Shield

The Operation: Seraph’s Shield mission is not for the faint of heart. You’ll need to be at or around 1580 Power (Artifact included), so it’s not meant for newcomers to the game.

Secondly, you’ll use many mechanics from the Deep Stone Crypt Raid, though their execution is significantly simplified. If you’ve not done that Raid before, don’t worry. The game does a level job of explaining what the three buffs — Scanner, Operator, and Suppressor — do, and there aren’t any time limits or wipe mechanics associated with using them unsuccessfully.

The best way to beat this mission is to bring your favorite class and loadout, especially a good Linear Fusion Rifle like the Cataclysmic or Taipan-4fr, as the bosses here are as susceptible to precision damage as any others in the game. Have a good Light Machine Gun ready to clear the mobs between the major encounters.

Once you reach the quest’s end and upload the virus into the Seraph Station systems, you can leave the activity and proceed to the next quest step.

Step 2: Speak to the Exo Frame

Head back to the H.E.L.M. and speak to the Exo Frame. Exhaust any Seasonal dialog he has; another dialog box should appear with a red-border version of the Revision Zero Exotic available at the bottom. Take it to progress to the next step.

Step 3: Shape the Revision Zero

This step is actually two steps in one. First, you can either use the red-border Revision Zero you got until you can extract the Deepsight Resonance from it (described in our How to Craft in Destiny 2 guide), or you can simply dismantle it for the weapon pattern. The only thing you’ll lose is 200 Resonant Energy, which isn’t a huge sacrifice.

Next, head to the Enclave on Mars and approach the Relic Resonance Engine.

In the Primary window, navigate to Pulse Rifles, then select Revision Zero. Select the perks you want the gun to have, and then spend the seven Resonant Alloy, 15,000 Glimmer, and 750 Resonant Elements to craft it.

Step 4: Commune with the Relic Conduit

To the left of the Resonant Engine is the Relic Conduit. Interact with it to get some new dialog, and once you hit Accept, you’ll complete The Hidden Shape quest.

Additional quests will bring you back here (specifically unlocking the Revision Zero’s four “catalysts”), but for now, go out and try your new weapon.
