This continues from the Blackgate Prison Intro.
After a short cinematic with Black Mask escaping in a helicopter, you will be faced with your first boss battle.
While this is still a tutorial fight and should be relatively easy, a few things make this battle a little tricky. First, especially right now before the much-promised Steam patch, players are still being hit with the Flickering Killer Croc glitch, and some are unable to hear dialogue/see subtitles for this fight.
Glitching?
If this is happening to you, pay close attention to the green target indicator above his head – this doesn’t go away, even while he flickers. This should give you a decent idea when he’s about to charge at you, and where he is in the small map area.
When he stands with a fuel tank to throw at you, the fuel tank doesn’t disappear. The sound should come back after the fight, so it is not permanent even if it is annoying.
Another thing that makes this fight slightly tricky is to learn how to vault out of the way. Killer Croc does an unblockable attack, and you have the ability to flip over his head out of the way. This can be a little tricky to get the hang of at first with default keybinds because too many actions are bound to the same keys.
How to Fight
The fight itself should be fairly straightforward. Dodge when Killer Croc charges at you, stun him with your Batcape and initiate a Beatdown whenever you can – click rapidly for as long as you are able.
When he jumps away to pick up a fuel tank, quickfire your Batarangs to blow it up while he’s still hoisting it over his head – this will cause extra damage to him. Don’t worry too much about the other Black Mask lackeys that come streaming in from time to time, Killer Croc will kill them with his rampaging quickly enough.
At one point he will smash into you and try to eat Batman’s face off. Follow the on-screen mash buttons commands and you’ll get out of trouble fairly quickly.
This fight should not be very long, and soon you will find yourself smashing Killer Croc to the ground, hanging precariously over the precipice. This ends in a short cinematic of Killer Croc falling into the waters below, and Batman swooping off to his plane before the authorities can catch him.
