The best way to experience a brand new biome in Minecraft, especially the one as beautiful as cherry grove, is to set a base right inside of it.

If you travel to coordinates 200, 900, you will find a village that has its houses settled right amongst the cherry blossom trees, and there's plenty of them.

One of the blacksmiths is located on the bottom of the pit, which protects it from all sorts of mobs that may be lurking on the surface at night.
